HD Beach Resort

First time at HD resort and we had an amazing holiday. We booked a junior suite with sea view and although the furniture was a little dated, the rooms were lovely, very spacious, walk in showers with double sinks. Our views were amazing! Had a seaview and a view of both pools. The pool areas were kept spotlessly clean and we never struggled to get a sunbed, the loungers were spread out so no cramping. The range of drinks suited us fine. Lovely house wine in the restaurant and the food was quite good. Lots of choice. All of the staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed the demonstration of how to make sangria and pina colada and then sample it. We would 100% recommend this hotel

The hotel is clean, friendly staff and great food/drinks. Known beer on tap which is unusual. A free 3 course meal is offered one night per week of your stay at the in house Italian restaurant. The waiting staff Juan Pedro & Diego were attentive and never missed a beat. Our drinks were always full and empty plates briskly taken away. The food was incredibly tasty and we hardly waited between courses, the chef Manu was incredibly inclusive of our son’s dairy allergy. He had a dairy free pizza & mango ice lolly which he devoured. The waiting staff in the main restaurant are also very kind. They’ve always found dairy free alternatives for us and been incredibly kind and helpful. We would love to return in the future. We have already recommended to friends and family and our holiday isn’t over yet! The tui rep, Marie, has also been wonderful and helped us book 2 excursions with recommendations for family friendly days out.

Our 1st time to the HD resort. Beach front location fringing the northern edge of Teguise. Spacious rooms, clean but with footfall of guests annually, decor could use a refresh. Jairo evening bar and Macarena pool bar 5 star Bueno, gracias

Excellent. Top marks to Georg and Fabritiso. Great welcome- thank you. Food is superb and the location is close to the beach. Staff are superb and all of them go out of their way to ensure a perfect holiday. The rooms are great and will be even better after the planned refurbishment.

We’ve stayed here for a lovely week: 2+2 family. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. Warm reception, very spacious rooms, great food (choices and quantity), there’s always something to do but nowhere is overcrowded. The bars, the entertainment, the pools. Faultless. Special thanks to the animation team (G+L+H) for making us feel at home and offering fun things like meditation, cocktail sampling and so much more. The hotel is close to town but far enough that you feel separated from the crowds.It’s is child friendly yet not children full. An all round fantastic hotel and a great holiday destination. Hotel The hotel exterior is modern and it overlooks a small beach and the sea. The reception space follows this. It's clean and the main spaces are well kept. The staff were friendly. It has 2 pool spaces. One on a lower level and one on an upper level. Both are a decent size and the lower pool is aimed at kids with a splash pool. There are plenty of sun beds and we found there was no reserving and even at 9/10am, you could get a bed easily. The activities that go on in the day are all fitness based. There's no alternatives such as bingo, quizzes, pool games ect. We felt the hotel was quite adult in it's orientation but that might have been because there weren't many kids there. Room The room was big. We had a junior suit. It had a bedroom, bathroom and a living space. We had a huge balcony. We were in 144. The balconies are all a bit overlooked. More than I've seen before but that wasn't an issue. The rooms are a little tired as in previous reviews but they're clean and functional. There is a fridge, kettle, microwave and a toaster. As well as a fixed to the wall hairdryer. There wasn't many coat hangers. We only had 7 in total but there's loads of wardrobe space. The bathroom had double sinks and is spacious. There is a drying rack on the balcony but bring pegs - it's windy! Food and Drink There are 3 bars. One at the front that overlooks the sea which is chilled, a pool bar and the main entertainment space. Note that the AI finishes at 11pm. This wasn't clear for us before we went. There are limited cocktails then the usual spirits. The wine is nice. Normal and rose procecco are included and the beer on AI is Amstel. You can get water from the pool bar 24 hrs from a machine. You get a bottle of water in the room on arrival. Not sure if you get another. We just filled it up. You get glass glasses from everywhere but the pool bar which is good The food was nice. The selection isn't huge but it's still decent. Providing you don't have one of everything every day, the food isn't repetitive. The dishes are similar most days with slight variations but there are 5 or 6 different things. We're not picky with food but if you are a simple eater, there's not a huge choice of things like pizza ect. There are snacks on the pool bar like hot dogs and burgers which might be more to the simple taste. Location The hotel is well located about 15 mins from the centre. Its a lovely walk along the coast but at night, part of this route isn't lit. You can also easily walk along the street side too. There is a little shopping centre about 5 mins walk then the sea front and square is about 10 mins beyond this. The resort is a nice level of busy. When we were there is was mostly couples (of mixed ages) there were a few families but not a huge amount of kids (maybe that's the time of year). great hotel and great staff particularly Juan pedro and Laszlo who made the experience even more enjoyable with their kindness and open arms. Laszlo was a great fitness leader and i looked forward to the aqua classes everyday, and Juan pedro was lovely as soon as we arrived at the hotel and at every meal and deserves many good reviews

Me & my partner just got back from 10 night stay at this hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast so can’t really comment on the lunch and evening meals as we ate out most days. The breakfast was pretty standard so full English, omelettes, pastries and cereal etc so always found something to eat. It was repetitive but can’t really change breakfast too much. We had sea view junior suite (room 104) and the view was lush! Cant really fault that & this room was protected from the wind on the balcony so this was an added bonus! The staff were really friendly and helpful when we needed questions answering. The rooms are spacious and clean but they do need a little TLC but I understand it’s going to be refurbished next year so wouldn’t put me off returning. Costa teguise is a lovely place and for us this time of year there wasn’t many kids at the hotel so it definitely helped us relaxed more & enjoy our holiday as we don’t have any children ourselves! Overall it was excellent choice of hotel & look forward to seeing the hotel after the refurbishment! I was a bit nervous after the mixed reviews but thankfully it was a good choice! Definitely recommend for people who aren’t fans of all inclusive like us!

A great family hotel - This was our first trip to Lanzarote. A family of four (8 and 5 year old kids). On arrival we received a warm welcome by Maria she gave us a thorough introduction and poured us much needed glass of Prosecco Our room - was spacious and clean with a balcony and it took no time at all for my family to make their mark on it, with sand from the beach, wet swimwear and treats - but the cleaners came in every day and restored it back to it’s original state. The food - was delicious (breakfast especially) there is a great variety of dishes at breakfast, lunch and dinner - something for everyone! I would recommend the Italian restaurant, but book early it’s popular. Keep active - Spa, gym, pools, swimming, tennis, table tennis, bowls, volleyball, football, bike hire and more… plenty of opportunity to burn off the overindulgence on good and drink. Kids entertainment - my two thoroughly enjoyed the kids entertainment that ranged from evening discos to pool activities. My 8 year old was very impressed with Alex (kids entertainer) as he fixed his rubix cube on a daily basis. Whilst Alica entertained my 5 year old. Location - next to a number of beaches with clear water full of fish. If you walk up to the main ***** there are plenty of bars (playing sport on the tvs) and some great restaurants. Our recommendations to HD - the facilities and staff are great. I think you could make more of both… I would increase the engagement between staff and clientele. There was an opportunity to bring groups together with daytime and evening games (from team sports to bingo) that would get people talking and sharing stories long after their trip.
