We recently stayed as a Family of 5, we have really mixed reviews about this accommodation we stayed for 10nights. Booked with easyjet holidays. Our positives 1. Staff were very lovely especially in the restaurant. Especially to the children. 2.The food was really good, plenty to choose from, even for the fussy eaters. 3.The pool is really clean and lovely to swim in. 4.When Daniela arrived for kids club she was wonderful with our children, very patient, energetic and creative. Our negatives Not all things seems to be as cracked up to be, what you see online isn't what you get! 1. No chillout area. 2.No kids club (until 2 days before we left) 3.The play area run down/damaged and ruins the clothes with black sticky stuff. 4.No evening entertainment 5.The kids are fussy drinkers, we wasn't allowed to bring the bottles of diluted juice in water in to the restaurant, even though we were still buying drinks for us. 6.Standard villa.. The mattresses are hard the pillows arent nice, we got pins and needles in our arms 7.Cracked, chipped patio tiles out side, tripping hazard for the kids and brings even more dirt into the villas. As well as the paint is chipping off. 8.No aircon After our complaint to easy jet holidays about some of the above, we did get a tad refund of the holiday. As the kids were bored and had nothing todo. Very disappointed with our holiday. When the hotel realised we weren't happy they moved us to sea view villa which is ment to be a bit better villa. Positives 1. Better tiles/patio no longer a tripping hazard. 2.Memerory foam mattress, better than the other mattress. Pillows still uncomfortable. 3.Funky shower head that changes different styles of spray. Negatives 1. No Aircon 2.Rusty bath that the kids freaked out, no grab handle. 3.Simple things wasn't cleaned..the fan was a square shape and covered in dust and smelt when first put on. Hair dryer possibley fire hazard as you could smell the dust burning. This holiday was a massive disappointment, we knew we were booking a budget holiday. However when booking a holiday for the children, at a family friendly hotel you expect family freindly activities. It's really put us off booking another holiday any time soon. The area is about 10mins taxi ride from playa blanca, we really struggled to get taxi for us as a 5, they had only 3 taxis in the area. So budget for 2 cars if need be. Just under 7 euros per taxi each journey. I just wished I knew this stuff before we booked as we wouldn't have booked here. Many websites have the chill out area as open, evening entertainment ect on, the hotel needs to get in contact and update their advertisement.. If I could get a full refund or close so we could experience truely family holiday. I cried so much on holiday its rediculous. However I know I won't. I'm disappointed with easyjet that they are still advertising the holiday, as its false advertiseme

Arrived at 7.15pm to be told at reception we had been given a deluxe villa! I will Let the photos speak for themselves! Upon arrival at villa, locks falling off door, sun beds and patio furniture look like they have been retrieved from the tip! Patio floor filthy covered in masonry falling off walls. Entering the Villa comes next! , floor filthy , furniture stained and heavily worn , half the lights don’t work, no-air conditioning, windows so filthy you can’t see out of them. Kitchen next! Cooker hood filthy , fridge rusting away, no kettle , broken knives, no sink plugs. Bedrooms , beds as uncomfortable as they could possibly be! Bedding of poor quality, no mattress protectors. Bathroom, bath rusting away rust holes in bath finish, grab handles missing and screws still visible and protruding ( cut hazard ) , towels so old they had worn threw , no plugs in sink or bath. Off to reception to be told no other villas available apart from number 13! And that to stay there tonight whilst they fix the original problems. Enter villa 13 OMG ! This one is worse! All the same problems as the first villa but more! Inc no smoke alarm! Then we run the water! To our shock the water actually runs brown! Next day at 3pm return to our “deluxe” villa! To find the so called repairs basically ment putting bathroom sealant over the rust holes in the bottom of the bath and covering the screws with it too, then given a bath mat to put in bath to cover it! This is beyond a joke! Pool area filthy not 1 clean sun bed many are broken and ripped , tiles missing in pool , children’s pool missing and cracked tiles! You would not want your child paddling in this! Their are no facilities at this hotel At all! All the advertising is fake! After the breakfast finishes at 10.30 that’s it ! Their is no bar, lunch facilities, ice creams nothing! Until they serve dinner at 7-8.30. The pictures of the chill out area which does not exist! See photos! Tennis court falling apart with the hotel tip behind it! Which probably accounts for the mice and cockroaches and the occasional rat! Words cannot describe how bad this place is, totally false advertising of facilities and hotel! It is filthy and disgusting and the management know this after watching multiple other guests arrive and complain and being keys to any empty villa and told to pick one u like after complaining! As if you could find one!! I will let the photos say it all!!! Please do not book in here! Family holiday ruined!

Location :- VERY ISOLATED and you need a car otherwise you are a long way from anywhere - the first day we walked across barren volcanic dumping ground full of dog poo for 20 minutes to the bus stop at Faro Park to get to Playa Blanca - That evening we caught the returning bus and alighting back at Faro Park we were followed by a man and had to seek refuge in a bar! We were too scared to venture across the rubble in the dark. You need a car !! The owner of the bar 'Casual' near the bus top was very kind and helpful and she called a taxi for us. It is too dodgy to walk back after dark and left us wondering what happened to the advertised shuttle bus. The accommodation is basic, not even a mirror in the bedroom despite asking twice and no effort was made to find one? Very disappointed especially getting a serious tummy bug the last two days after eating dinner there once - although you never know where a tummy bug originates. . Our entry key card never worked too which was very inconvenient and often the card was replaced at reception four times or more a day which we were very patient about and never complained once about anything including the bad WIFI. All very basic which is fine but we had saved up all year for a break and were attracted to this place because of advertised Chill Out Zone to watch the sunsets but the hotel had privately rented them out to a family for the whole two weeks ????? We felt quite annoyed that they could do this. The only good thing was Carlos the waiter who is their saving grace plus the swimming pool. I'm personally okay with basic accommodation like this but a lot of things just were disappointing about the holiday and my good friend felt embarrassed and guilty for booking it without studying the reviews properly.

Check in was very straight forward and quick and person on reception very helpful. Directions given to room ( no.10) and this is where things started to look a bit strange. The place was deserted and obviously in need of some major refurbishment and beautification. Garden were full of ****s.On arrival at the room the chairs and sunbed were in a poor, dirty state. The patio area had smashed tiles and was very uneven. On entering the room it was very basic and the smallest television ive seen in over 30 years. The double bed did not have a mattress protector and linen had makeup/ nail varnish on it. Socket under dressing table very loose. The bathroom looked ok but a bit dated but when shower switched on water sprayed everywhere apart from where you wanted it. No hairdryer so had to go and get one from reception. The kitchen was very Basic but enough for preparing snacks although my daughters room (no 8) did not have a kettle which i had to get from reception. Pool area was ok but once again all sunbeds were old and dirty. Breakfast was very basic but ok if you just wanted tea and toast. Sorry to say not a place for us to stay again but made most of the area and time with the family. The place needs some money spending on it to bring it up to a 3 star standard. Final thing is walk to shops/restaurants across waste land not ideal especially with a push chair so allow at least 15 minutes to walk around via coastal path and roads.

We had a family stay here on a hb basis the food for breakfast was good in quality and variety overall the resort was very well maintained and clean. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Good selection of restaurants close by in Faro park. Playa Blanca is a 5k coastal walk or taxis are reasonable price and readily available

This is the friendliest place we've stayed at. Philippe on reception was genuinely friendly and so willing to make our stay as good as possible. Unfortunately we missed our flights (don't ask....RyanAir!!) but Marco and Philippe did everything they could to accommodate our last minute change of dates. The guys in the restaurant Carlos and Juan Manuel were also the nicest of people. We've stayed in lots of places and we've dealt with lots of resort staff but these guys were by far the nicest. The hotel itself is positioned right next to the coast (literally about 10m) so it's very quiet (apart from the sound of the waves). The unit we stayed in was spacious but in need of a bit of a face lift, but it served us perfectly. The food was, on occasion, very good and mostly good (the lamb stew was excellent though). The pool was really nice, very clean and a perfect temperature. We decided to walk to Flamingo beach every day along the coastal path to get some exercise (its about 2miles each way) so we actually lost some weight while we away!! Playa Blanca is lovely with lots of good bars and restaurants, the beach is excellent too. We will definitely be returning to VIK Coral Beach hotel

Poor location 20 minute walk to supermarket and restaurants need to hire a car as very isolated. Short cut across a dirt track not lit at night and uneven under foot so needed to use our torch on our phones. Apartment had no oven only one hob working minimal utensils One plug between two sinks, bed very uncomfortable and could smell the drains. Swimming pool was absolutely freezing not heated subsequent only went in twice. The bus stop was a 20 minute walk away and the taxis did not run to the complex waited an hour and a half one day to go to the marina. I would not recommend these apartments and their photos need updating as they are not a true likeness

We had a great stay at the complex. Our villa was very well appointed, with ample self-catering facilities, a large television and a big lounge, as well as a nice pool. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the general ambience around the place was relaxed and peaceful. It's a short 5-10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants (depending on how quickly you walk), where you can find a number of good options including well-stocked supermarkets and a variety of cuisines. The main town is about 7 minutes in a taxi, where there are loads of options. But if you're after a bit more peace and quiet this is a very good option. We also enjoyed using the tennis courts! Thanks for everything.

VIK is located on a quiet road off the main road. I was glad we had a car. You would not be able to grab a taxi but you could walk to the main road. This is not suitable however for elderly or people with mobility concerns. Check in was good. However when we opened the door it was exteremly disappointing. The couch was worn and tatty. There was dirt in the kitchen presses. There was a socket hanging out of the wall under the tv. The sun longer was black with dirt or mould. The sun chair on the patio had a hole. There was damp on the ceiling in the sitting room painted over. My pillow had blood stains and black mould. Got a new pillow case but that had holes. There was hole on the duvet cover. The smell of damp coming from the drawers in the bedroom was awful. The TV only had Spanish channels, could not connect to Netflix, wifi was poor. Breakfast was fine, good selection. We decided to check out as it was of such a poor standard. The receptionist appeared annoyed at me for wanting to check out early but I could not stay here. Very very basic accommodation. This might suit some people but for the aforementioned reasons it was less than acceptable to us. We had been looking forward to our first holiday since covid and this was extremely disappointing. We were just lucky we could afford somewhere else and even luckier we had a car to get away
