Upon arrival, they played a welcome drum. The room was nicely cleaned and we had a pleasant stay. There was a wide variety of dishes at dinner, more than we could eat, but since it was in our room, we were able to enjoy it at our leisure. The bath was lovely with a tatami floor. I was told that toothbrushes were charged, but this was not listed in the hotel details, so it would be nice if this was stated. It would also be helpful if amenities were placed so that only those who wanted them could choose them. There were two sets of towels and bath towels in the room, which were great to be able to use for bathing twice a day, at night and in the morning. The staff also gave us detailed explanations.

I go to Ise Shrine every year for the first time of the year, but this was my first time staying at Sen no Yashiro. I had booked a twin room, but they changed it to a room with an open-air bath at no extra charge because the room was available. I was surprised at first, thinking, "What?! Is that really okay?!" The room was really clean and beautiful, so I was able to relax. The food was delicious and I was very satisfied! The large public bath was also beautiful, and I was able to enjoy the hot spring to my heart's content without my feet getting cold on the tatami floor! The only thing that was a little disappointing was the position of the mirror in the dressing room. I am tall, so when I sat on a chair to dry my hair, my face was reflected at the bottom of the mirror, but the women and elderly people I was with said that if they sat on a chair, their faces would not be reflected in the mirror, so they stood up to dry their hair. I was also impressed by the staff's detailed consideration and thoughtfulness! I also work in the service industry, and this was a real learning experience for me. After checking out, everyone saw me off with big voices and smiles in the soap bubbles! It was a really pleasant hotel. I would like to use it again.

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get there from the Inner Shrine of Ise Grand Shrine. The gate inside the building is made of beautiful bricks. The hot spring has been renovated, and the beautiful tatami bath felt special. The sauna temperature was just right at around 80 degrees Celsius, and the cypress scent was very soothing. If the hot spring water was free-flowing from the source, this was a truly impeccable inn. It was the perfect inn for the end of the year. Thank you for your hospitality.

The building was old, but the room was clean and relaxing. The food was also delicious. However, I was surprised when I was told that I had to pay for a toothbrush. Next time, I'd like to bring my own.
