Beautiful peaceful location with serene views. the bus stop and beach club (Giardino Eden) are right infront of the entrance. wonderful, helpful and welcoming staff (easy to communicate in English). A bit outdated, but comfortable, clean room (sea view). fresh tasty buffet breakfast with local pastries and fresh juices. The pool was warm and always sparkling. Things to note: the property is on a mountain side, so quite a few stairs, but manageable for basic fitness. The bistro on the rooftop offers great drinks and a simple menu. The room TV only has local channels in Italian (but we managed to change the audio settings to English for a couple of dubbed movie channels) - the F1 is not broadcast live on the local channels, but it is available to watch a few hours after the race. (hotel Aragona at Ischia port did broadcast live). Pool towels available for hire, EUR5 per towel, once off. The staff can arrange anything for you - a private transfer to the port was EUR20 one way (not per person). The local buses didn't seem to accept visa cards (they work everywhere else), so it's better to buy a bus ticket from a local shop - also, the buses can be delayed - but they do show up eventually. Google maps says bus 182 & 183 but it's actually 12 & 13 that stop at the hotel. I give it 9.9 out of 10, because there is room to improve, and with the amount of effort and care going in to making the hotel better and better - I'm certain they will become a 4 star hotel soon! We would definitely stay here again!
