Superior double room is not what you get.. plain, bare white walls, missing light bulbs, broken plug socket. Bathroom- not even a hook to hang your towel on, let alone somewhere to put your toiletries or clothes. Even the basics of a toilet roll holder don’t exist. Seriously underwhelming and not as described online. No parking, half hearted greeting from staff. Management need to look up definition of superior and make the room fit or provide an honest advert for their room. Tea and coffee provided, but only one teabag each!

Very bad we paid £45 for a package. I was gluten-free. I had a tiny state that wasn’t any bigger than my palm two strips of chicken a gluten-free BAP, some chilli sauce and some cheese I had no drinks. There was no starter and no pudding, I went to ask the bar manager to ask the chef if I could have a little cheesecake as I hadn’t had any alcohol at all they refused. I had a booking that I was going to bring 39 people to the Malthouse next month. I will not bring them there. The service was terrible. The music was too loud and they didn’t accommodate the amount of people we booked so we had to move but most of all there was a uncourteous reaction from a chef to to at least offer me a desert as I had had no alcohol and a ridiculously small unbelievably meal and they charge £45 I would not recommend it to anyone, very bad customer service from the chef apparently the bar manager also asked the manager of the Hotel to go to the chef, he never came to us. I had to go up. I’ve been at many places and had beautiful customer service and beautiful people. This is not one of those places I would not get recommended.

Its like a Club on a Friday and Saturday afternoon and Night. Banging dance anthems till 12.45am. And we booked the last room above the Speakers, great if your an 18-25 clubber. Spoilt a Romantic weekend sadly. Location is great.

Very basic accommodation Did a Saturday overnight stay in a superior room. Very small and bathroom was accross a small corridor so not a true en-suite. Bathroom smelt damp and shower didn’t look inviting so we didn’t use it. Be aware, they have live music on until midnight so not suitable for anyone looking for an early night Breakfast next morning was very good to be fair. So overall, I would say okay at best!

Horrendous place. No sound proofing and the room was above the where the band played until 11.45pm. Toilet stank. Coffee cheap sachets expecting you to pay extra for filter Coffee. When I complained the attitude was indifferent. Breakfast mediocre at best.

Great for weekends away. Stayed a few times, nothing to fault. Great location, staff ferry friendly, great food.

The person that checked me in (Oli I think) was very kind and welcoming. There was an issue with heating and hot water which Oli rectified straight away and was cheerful and helpful throughout. The chef on breakfast service was outstanding, friendly and got the food out in a timely manner, 5 stars for breakfast. Extremely tasty and good variety Dinner service was reasonably priced with a good variety, good value for money. Overall, this is a lovely place to stay and I would stay here again. The only constructive criticism would be to refresh the decoration in the rooms (just starting to get a little tired) and for the other staff to equal the friendliness and enthusiasm of the 2 mentioned above.

Nice pub/hotel on the river. Parking may be an issue for some!
