Very bad we paid £45 for a package. I was gluten-free. I had a tiny state that wasn’t any bigger than my palm two strips of chicken a gluten-free BAP, some chilli sauce and some cheese I had no drinks. There was no starter and no pudding, I went to ask the bar manager to ask the chef if I could have a little cheesecake as I hadn’t had any alcohol at all they refused. I had a booking that I was going to bring 39 people to the Malthouse next month. I will not bring them there. The service was terrible. The music was too loud and they didn’t accommodate the amount of people we booked so we had to move but most of all there was a uncourteous reaction from a chef to to at least offer me a desert as I had had no alcohol and a ridiculously small unbelievably meal and they charge £45 I would not recommend it to anyone, very bad customer service from the chef apparently the bar manager also asked the manager of the Hotel to go to the chef, he never came to us. I had to go up. I’ve been at many places and had beautiful customer service and beautiful people. This is not one of those places I would not get recommended.

Horrendous place. No sound proofing and the room was above the where the band played until 11.45pm. Toilet stank. Coffee cheap sachets expecting you to pay extra for filter Coffee. When I complained the attitude was indifferent. Breakfast mediocre at best.

Great for weekends away. Stayed a few times, nothing to fault. Great location, staff ferry friendly, great food.

The person that checked me in (Oli I think) was very kind and welcoming. There was an issue with heating and hot water which Oli rectified straight away and was cheerful and helpful throughout. The chef on breakfast service was outstanding, friendly and got the food out in a timely manner, 5 stars for breakfast. Extremely tasty and good variety Dinner service was reasonably priced with a good variety, good value for money. Overall, this is a lovely place to stay and I would stay here again. The only constructive criticism would be to refresh the decoration in the rooms (just starting to get a little tired) and for the other staff to equal the friendliness and enthusiasm of the 2 mentioned above.

Not one for a relaxing weekend away. Good was nice Tv would not work, would not turn on and remote wouldn’t connect. Went down and asked for help, “I’m new to this place” was the reply and “I’ll get someone to help you” nobody did! Room was quite dusty, especially by the tv, as we were trying to find buttons to work it! Wouldn’t choose to stay there again purely because of the music blaring from our 3pm checkin. We’d read up and believed it started from 9:30 but that was just the live music. Not the chilled out experience we hoped for away from our hectic lives. Breakfast was nice but no coffee cups, run out of coffee and hot water, 1 person serving tables, seating tables and topping all stock up was a battle.

The online photos of the room didn't match the actual room at all. We were supposedly staying in a Superior room, but I'm not sure what was superior about it. Don't stay on a Saturday night when the pub has live music, unless you want to go and enjoy the entertainment as the rooms are directly above and it is next to impossible to get any sleep till the music has finished. Added to this, the toilet kept flushing and wouldn't stop and the heated towel rail made gurgling noises all night. However, the bed itself was very comfortable and the breakfast (which was £10 extra per person) was perfectly reasonable. Overall though, go and find somewhere else.

This review is about the hotel Well it was cheap £75 +£10 each for breakfast. Basically it was a nightmare. A band played below us so loudly I vibrated. This went on until 11.30but voices for another 45 mins. The cistern was broken. The breakfast was OK for the money but instant coffee satchets were accompanied by sauce bottles which had drips down the side. The whole place needed a good clean. Cant wait to get home for a sleep. Avoid and pay a little more

We stayed at the malt house last night We stayed here a year ago in the sister hotel the Swan The malt house was such a disappointment We had A meal on the restaurant which was so cold we had to keep our coats on . The food was ok but nothing like it was last year . We went to our room and we were right above the stage area below where the loudest pub. Rock band were playing until midnight . The room was literally shaking and we both had no sleep and headaches from the loud noise No warning of this when we checked in . The door on the bathroom was off its hinges and. No mirror in bathroom Dressing table but too dark to apply makeup at Very poor Do not book to stay here if you want a peaceful warm enjoyable evening and nights stay The young staff not really bothered and no refund offered or any compensation The rooms should not be availiable when a band is playing . Not acceptable I’m a musician and used to noise but this was just unacceptable
