The room was quite small and felt cramped. There was no complimentary mineral water or a freezer in the room, which was inconvenient. It’s okay for a short stay if you’re not expecting much, but definitely not ideal for comfort or longer visits.

I had a disappointing experience with the van shuttle. Staff said need to wait for 20 minutes for the van to arrive. So we wait until 45 minutes but still didn’t show up and no updates from the staff. At last, we had to take Grab by our own to take our car. When we arrived at the parking area, around 300 meter / 3 minutes from the main hotel, the building is closed & locked. So weird and annoyed because the staff from the main hotel (receptionist) told that the van is filling its gas nearby only. So we had to wait around 30 minutes more to wait somebody or staff to open the barrier to move out our car. We called the mainline (05-2082888) to get some help but seems like the staff just hung up when we try to explain what happened. So at last, we manage to pass by the barrier along the narrow space and manage to get out without any damage. What a bad experienced we had, ‘thank you’ Cititel Express Ipoh for your great customer service u showed.
Since I'm not anybody or VVIP, I don’t expected proper resolution and communication from them. Plus, I don’t think this hotel will take this feedback seriously and improves their service because until now, they still not contact me yet after promised to.

The hotel is nice and comfortable. Well designed like a boutique hotel. Location is also excellent. It is well worth for what you pay for.
Only cons is the parking and the limited lobby space to drop-off as it is on busy junction.
Overall, Enjoyed my short stay and will definitely return again when back in Ipoh.

Location is great (5 min to Concubine Lane and 15 min to Train Station walking) but room is small with less table/desk space, limited outlets, amenities.
Breakfast at 12th floor with good view.

I recently stayed at the newly renovated Cititel Express Hotel and had a pleasant experience overall.
The check-in process was quick and smooth, true to its name as an "Express" hotel. The room was simple but well-equipped, offering all the essentials I needed for this trip.
The location is a real highlight. I was able to enjoy a hearty and delicious breakfast just around the corner, and having a 7-Eleven conveniently located downstairs was perfect for any last-minute needs.
Overall, I had a great stay and received excellent service from the hotel staff. I’d definitely consider staying here again.

The newly refurbished room was suitable for couple & friends. Room was cleaned. Bed was comfortable & water pressure in the bathroom was good. However the parking space is not many. And the breakfast has limited range.
