Ballifeary House

A very friendly B&B. The owner does all of the cooking and looking after everybody. He is very interested in all his guests and his breakfasts are Very filling. He gives good advice on where to go and what to see.Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfy. he does all the gardening and the outside is beautiful and welcoming. It is centrally located and only about a five minute walk to the Riverside walk. There are restaurants and bars very close. A great place to stay and enjoy everything that Inverness has to offer.

My partner and I spent two nights here and had a fantastic stay. The accommodations are excellent, the breakfasts were delicious, the location was splendid and Fraser, the owner was incredibly helpful with his tips and suggestions to supplement our plans for exploring the area. We'd stay here again!

I stayed at this property in June 2025. I was traveling alone. The owner was very kind and helpful, giving me great recommendations for places to eat and visit. The property looks like it came straight out of a fairytale, with a great location near the town center and very thorough room cleaning. What I loved the most was the breakfast — absolutely AMAZING!

A Warm welcome to two Aussie girls from Fraser to his beautiful home.The most comfortable beds in Scotland and breakfast was lovely.Location fantastic.Fraser a wealth of information to explore Inverness.MacGregors bar in walking distance to enjoy along with a delicious Sunday roast and a wee whiskey or two with the most glorious live music that grabbed our hearts.Culloden a must too.We hope to come back. This is a very quiet and well appointed guest house located in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks from the River Ness Walkway and downtown Inverness. Breakfast was very good, and The room and bath were very nice, and Fraser gave us great tips for walks and sites as well as restaurants with vegan offerings. Check-in is only after 4pm (there is no one at the house before that) so that is something to keep in mind. I would definitely recommend Ballifeary Guest House if visiting Inverness

I absolutely loved, loved, loved my stay here! Ballifeary Guest House was perfectly located (we walked to and from the center of town every day), the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and breakfast was delicious! All the small details mattered too--new cookie packets were placed in our room every day, there was lots of coffee and tea (and cream) in the room, caramels in the entrance hall, fresh flowers in the breakfast room. Fraser, the owner/manager, was very chatty and helpful! I've stayed in many, many hotels and B&Bs all over the world, some of which were much, much pricier than Ballifeary, but I'd rate my stay here with the best of them!
