Beautiful quiet location 50 minutes drive from Inverness, 200 meters from waterfalls in the Glenmoriston river, which flows 500 meters into Loch Ness. 10 minutes drive five linked locks in the Caladonian Canal at Fort Augustus. Our room was not very big, but fine Bed and fine Breakfast (and that's what it's all about ;-) even a piece of haggis can be ordered.

Fantastic BnB with a lovely host, delicious breakfast and comfortable, well equiped room! Make sure to book here if there is availability. Also worth noting that it’s walking distance from a great pub nearby. Will definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity!

We were walking the Great Glen Way and West Highland Way and this was by far the best accommodation we used throughout. The host made us feel at home from the off, facilties were perfect and breakfast outstanding. So refreshing to find a place to stay that offered both excellence and value for money. We only stopped for one night wish it could have been more.

We arrived here after a long days walking on the Great Glen way. Hayley was immediately so accommodating and welcoming. She explained everything so well, asked us for our breakfast request and showed us to our room. Me and my partner had the double room and I can honestly say it was everything we needed and more. The room was spacious and extremely clean! The bed was so so comfortable. The comfiest bed we slept on throughout the whole trip. The bathroom was great too! My in-laws had the twin room and they also loved it. Although it’s a smaller room it still serves a purpose - a good nights sleep!! After a great nights sleep, Hayley prepared a beautiful full Scottish breakfast for us all that was to set us up for the whole day of walking! Nothing was too much for Hayley and she was a brilliant host! If I ever walk the Great Glen Way again I would 100% stay here again. Thank you Hayley!! :)

Lovely B&B just a short walk from town centre, up in a bank with great view of the mountains. Plenty parking, a good breakfast and a warm welcome from Hayley on arrival. A little bit cramped in the two twin rooms we occupied but perfectly adequate and well resourced. Everything seemed fine. But there was a big problem which was pointed out to the owner in the morning. This may well have been something she was unaware of and we were willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. However it was surprising and disappointing that a refund wasn’t offered under the circumstances.

Our rooms, mine and a friends were booked through a travel agent. We arrived in the area at about 6 PM and while ordering dinner at a restaurant we decided we should contact the B and B where we were staying for the night. From the moment she answered the phone she had an attitude. She started by saying she had sent us two emails that day and had tried to call us. We are not from Scotland and our phones do not work there. We did use WIFI each night though to check emails and such. We NEVER received a call or and email from Darroch View. Anyway she told us we had to be at her facility before 7 to check in or we had no room for the night. We left my husband at the restaurant (we had already ordered) and since we were 20-30 minutes from her we drove above what speed was safe to the address provided. As we found the entrance my friend was driving a little too fast and tired to slow but, not to her satisfaction. We parked and she came up to me, the passenger and said "you better watch your speed here, you almost hit my dog." We saw her AND the dog on a leash. They were about 15-20 feet from the road...So we didn't almost hit the dog. This dog was a large pit bull type that kept lunging on the lead. We went inside with her grumbling the whole time. Checked in and she starts giving verbal instructions about locking this door but not that door and after 10 PM and my eyes glazed over. No written instructions like any reputable B and B would have. I will say this was one of the cleanest places we stayed our whole time in Scotland. The room with 2 twin beds was TINY, had to turn sideways to walk around the beds to the bathroom. She supplied plenty of towels, soaps, coffee packets, etc. We went to leave and the driver of our car found she had pulled in in such a position the she was having a hard time backing out. If you go forward there was a significant drop off and there was another car parked there along with a huge travel trailer. Space was VERY limited. She noticed a sign saying COTTAGE Parking with and arrow pointing to the right. So, she figured she would go that way and then turn around in that parking area. It was smaller than the parking in the front. We were trying to turn around doing the 2" one way and then 2" another way method with me watching to make sure she didn't hit the other car back there or any property. The owner comes out and starts yelling at the driver, YELLING. Telling her she is responsible for that customers car, ect. and we are going to hit it. The car we rented was one of those that turns itself off when you idle too long, etc Then she starts telling her she is clueless. Then she yells, just back out and continues to yell, "keep going". About half way out while backing up, her husband comes out. HE WAS WORSE. He kept telling the driver to get out and he would get the car out of there. She didn't want to because the car was rented in her name and she was responsible for it. I told him she was trying to be careful and not (de

Stayed for one night only because it was the only one available in the área. check out at 10:00 am, and despite the fact that I was already loading my bags in the car, at 10:03 am, the lady at the reception decided to enter the house without announcing herself through the back door, and start cleaning, while my children and woman had just dressed. to mention that at 10:09 we had already left the house. We could have been faster if the shower head had enough water pressure. they left only two shampoo sachets and two shower gel sachets for 4 people. Avoid this place if you can. They are not on the business of welcoming people.
