Owls Head is a secluded and scenic buoy and lobster pot dotted peninsula, one of Maine's authentic waterfront colonies. Centrally located in midcoast Maine, it is the perfect starting point for day-trip adventures. Rockland is only 5 minutes away and 15 minutes to Camden, both offer great shopping, museums, art galleries and festivals. Next door is the "world's best" general store with "award winning" breakfasts and lunches served daily. Grocery items, soda, and wine available for you to take along on your daily adventures. A five minute walk down the hill takes you to a wharf, where you can buy lobster right off the boat. Only 3 minutes down the road is our favorite (award winning) farm to table restaurant, Primo's. Well appointed kitchen with Bosch appliances, all very clean and like new. Comfy beds and beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy... including a fire pit! A little chilly to enjoy the paddling, but we used the fire pit and enjoyed the nature and lovely bayfront. We stopped at a grocery so we could cook bfast then we went out on excursions to nearby landmarks. Perfect for 2 couples or a small family. We loved sitting in the porch at night and beautiful lights went on every night that lit up a path to the beach. It was so pretty! This house is brand new and filled with beautiful items. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the art, sculptures and beautiful rugs throughout. We tried to take it all in and enjoy all there was to offer…but we only had three nights.
