The Bay and the village of Napo'opo'o are unlike any you will find in the islands. The area is a quiet village with no condos, hotels, stores, or crowds. All shopping and dining are located 4 miles up the hill in Captain Cook or in the other local villages of Kealakekua and Kainaliu Town. Coolers are available at the front door and in the downstairs laundry area to keep your food purchases fresh - including fish from the Sunday farmers market. The yard is a forest of palms and fruit trees - including papaya, grapefruit, soursop, tangerine, lime, lemon, orange, star fruit, banana and mango. Feel free to help yourselves to the bounty. There is also a fruit and banana bread stand down the street. Most rentals down at the bay have an additional rental unit and ours is no exception however the second unit has a permanent tenant. Karen has lived on the property for over 20 years in a small Ohana below the house. She has proven to be a wonderful local resource to our guests and is available for issues that may arise.
