"I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Hawthorne for a business trip, and I must say, it was a rather pleasant experience overall. First and foremost, the hotel's proximity to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a major advantage. It's a mere 10-minute drive away, which made it incredibly convenient for someone like me who had to catch an early morning flight. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a nice touch. The check-in process was efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and welcoming. The lobby area is clean, modern, and well-designed, creating a favorable first impression. I stayed in a standard room, and it was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the extra pillows provided. The room had a decent view and was adequately spacious for a solo traveler. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with the necessary amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the on-site restaurant, The Bistro. The food was surprisingly good, and they offered a variety of options for breakfast and dinner. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and provided excellent service. However, I found the prices a bit on the higher side. The fitness center was well-equipped, and I was able to maintain my workout routine during my stay. The hotel also has a small outdoor pool, although I didn't have the chance to use it during my stay. The only downside to my experience was the noise level in the hallways and adjacent rooms. Thin walls seemed to allow sound to carry, which made it a bit difficult to sleep when there were noisy neighbors. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was a bit slow at times, which could be frustrating if you're trying to get work done. Overall, the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Hawthorne is a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience near the airport. The friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent dining options make it a comfortable place to stay. However, improvements in soundproofing and Wi-Fi speed would enhance the overall experience."

The rooms are notably spacious and relatively modern. It's highly recommended for guests traveling by car. The majority of the staff were very good."

"I was in Los Angeles for a layover, so I randomly found a hotel not far from the airport. I prepaid through Ctrip. I didn't have much expectation or idea, but the hotel front desk was still annoying. Their attitude was cold, which was understandable. Then they deducted $400 from me without saying anything. I found it strange and asked why the deposit was so high. They insisted that they didn't find the payment record for one room. I contacted Ctrip, and they said that the front desk deducted the deposit twice for one room. When I checked out the next day, the new front desk said that the money would be refunded. But when I looked at the bill today, it was still deducted. I had to contact Ctrip again to communicate."
