Access to Yellowstone Park from our north entrance was fully restored October 30, 2022 with a beautiful new road! Our sweet backyard cottage is nestled among the fruit and flower trees of the yard. It is easily within walking distance to the grocery store, coffee, shopping, restaurants, laundromat, post office, and local arch park events. It is at the north entrance to Yellowstone Park, as is all of Gardiner. The cottage is in the heart of town but shielded from the main street by the owners' home. The yard is shared with the owners but privacy is afforded by the layout. The owners' home was built in 1930 and its cottage was built in 1940 by former owners, the Eastons. It is believed that their intent was to rent the cottage to visitors of Yellowstone, making it a very early vacation rental in this town. The cottage is a perfect fit for two people who want to day trip to northern Yellowstone, book local activities like rafting, biking, horseback riding, and return to a simple, basic, clean environment to relax. Our guests note that the well cultivated green and floral landscaping add to the charm and character of their experience. The stucco cottage still has the details of its early history with the old style glass door knobs and kitchen cabinets. There is a comfortable queen bed, sitting area with Smart tv, eating area, full but small kitchen, and full bathroom. It is clean, well cared for, and you are welcome! Riverview Retreat is the perfect place for fishing the Yellowstone river for as the Yellowstone river flows thru the back yard, also great for photographers, wildlife enthusiasts, Weddings, or just sitting on the banks of the Yellowstone river and enjoying the tranquility of the river and Yellowstone park across the way.This house sits on three acres, surrounded by lots of mature trees a huge yard with the back of yard being private, the back yard has a covered gazebo with rock fire place and a deck over the banks of the Yellowstone River, also apple and cherry trees. The house is a 2 bedroom with a king bed in master room, queen bed and bunk bed with bottom bunk a full and top bunk a single. 1 full bathroom with shower tub and 2 sinks with handicap bars in bathtub and at toliet. 1 1/2 bathroom with a toilet and sink at the back door easy to get to from the outside. Large living room with 54 inch TV with satellite. Dining room table sits 8 and a counter bar that sits 3. The kitchen is fully stocked with all amenities, coffee, tea, sugar, spices, flour, ketchup and lots more. I also stock tp, all soaps except hair. Washer and dryer with soap. And bear spray to take with you will your out hiking. The back yard has a deck with table and chairs with barbeque right off the back door. The large back yard is big enough to play soccer in and then the most enjoyable feature is the gazebo with deck over the river. We also have built a concrete dance floor off the gazebo for weddings. This house is a very comfy house and is far enough out of town to not hear all the noise but yet close enough if you need to run in to get some supplies. At different times of the year you may see different wildlife in the yard such as mule deer, elk, grizzly and black bear and buffalo. Yellowstone Northern Views home just completed in 2018. The house sits on a hillside which affords it amazing, unobstructed, views into the northern edge of Yellowstone National Park. The Roosevelt Arch which is the northern entrance to Yellowstone can be seen from the Master Bedroom and front deck. The house itself consists of a Great Room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a utility room. The great room has walnut floors, rock fireplace, huge windows for beautiful views, vaulted ceiling, 2 reclining leather sofas and leather chair. The vaulted ceiling and walnut floors continue through to the kitchen with its granite counter tops, farmhouse sink, top of the line appliances, 2 full ovens, lots of cabinet space and a separate pantry.There are two bedrooms on the upper level. The first bedroom has 1 full bed, the second bedroom has a king-size bed and attached bathroom with glass enclosed, tiled shower. There is an additional full bathroom on the upper level. Both bathrooms have granite counter-tops. There are two bedrooms on the lower level. One bedroom has a queen sized log frame bed, the other has a king-size bed with an attached bathroom. There is an additional bathroom downstairs, also a separate utility room with washer and dryer.Smart televisions with DVD players are in every bedroom with an additional TV in the Great Room. A large deck extends across the front of the house on the upper level. You may access the deck from the over-sized glass sliding door and/or single door in the great room or from the glass door of the master bedroom. There are also outside stairs leading from the lower level to the deck. The house has both central heat AND air which is very much appreciated in the summer!
