"We really enjoyed our stay at The Social Hub Lavagnini. It’s clean, modern, and well-designed with a young, international vibe. We’re in our early 30s and felt like we fit right in. It’s ideal for younger travelers or anyone who prefers something more relaxed and social than a traditional hotel. An older couple might feel a little out of place, but that depends on what kind of atmosphere you’re after.
The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Anytime we needed something, they handled it quickly and with a great attitude.
The common areas downstairs are a real highlight. There’s lots of space to work, hang out, or meet other travelers. It really does have a community feel, just like the reviews say.
There’s also a rooftop with a pool and bar. It’s nice to have, but to be honest, we didn’t find the bar particularly exciting. More of a perk than a destination.
It’s about a 25-minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio and the historic center, so you’ll be doing a bit of walking each day. Still, we thought the location was a good balance- close enough to everything, but far enough to be out of the thick of the crowds. For the price and the comfort of the hotel, it felt totally worth it.
Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for a clean, stylish, and social place to stay in Florence."

"the hotel is clean, modern and has good location as the tram is right outside.
everything was great except that all my jewellery were stolen while i left my room to roam around the city. all my jewellery was worth at least Eur 3,000. i left them in a box which was placed in my luggage since there was no safe in my room. but when i came back to the room after a whole day out, all the jewellery were gone. the hotel managers were helpful initially, saying they would investigate and compensate me for my loss. but after i gave them all the receipts and credit card transactions of those items which were stolen from me, the managers just ignored my emails despite me trying to ask them for any updates on the progress of my case. at the very least, they could show me the cctv and allowed me to talk to the cleaner/staffs entering my room while i was away but that didn’t happen. i dont even know what is going on now that im already back to my home country, and the hotel did not even bother to update me anything even though they promised to investigate and compensate. hopefully, someone fm the hotel could see this and get back to me please! im honestly traumatised, nvr expected that my stuffs could be stolen right inside my room in a reputable hotel."

"A very satisfying hotel. It is five minutes away from Florence Railway Station. It is very safe. This is a hotel with a beautiful lobby. The rooms retain the old window switches, which are quite interesting. This time I was given a large suite. The middle door was locked to become two suites. I was a little concerned about it. Fortunately, the neighbors were relatively quiet (it is better to talk to the front desk to avoid such a room). The restaurant of this hotel is in an excellent location. You can see the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore every breakfast. When the weather is good, the Tuscan ridges in the distance can be clearly seen. The breakfast does not change much every day, but the variety is OK. The hotel's room service and restaurant service are first-class!"

"By far the best hostel I have stayed in Europe. Extremely clean, en-suite toilet, lockers (bring your own lock), towels and shampoo/bath gel provided, respectful guests (mostly youths) and all around good vibes. There are 2 pools, a sauna and gym. You can also do your laundry here if you wish. It is a 10min walk to Piazza Montelungo where most tours use as their pickup/dropoff point, very convenient. Also a Carrefour within a minute's walk if you need snacks, drinks, etc. This place really has everything!"

"The botel is at the best location near train station within a few minutes walk. Rooms are spacious and organized. I was upgraded to a double bed room but actually there is some issue with the aircon system for the room that I cannot adjust cooler temperature and must follow next doors for heater instead. I found out when I returned to my room at night. The staff helped me change to another room quickly."

"哇塞這個酒店真的太棒了，超出了預期。首先位置很方便，在一條小街上，這條街兩頭都有中國餐館，一頭出去是火車站，另一頭出去就是美第奇禮拜堂和聖勞倫左教堂⛪。位置很方便，很接近古城的中心位置了。所有工作人員態度也都特別好。入住時，前台小哥熱情友好，英語流利，還主動提供了地圖🗺，給我在地圖上講我們所處的位置，以及佛羅倫薩所有主要景點的位置，怎麼走，走多遠，由近至遠介紹了從酒店怎麼走到美第奇禮拜堂，聖母百花大教堂⛪，聖十字教堂，烏菲斯美術館，老橋，米開朗琪羅廣場，還給我介紹從米開朗琪羅廣場可以坐公交回來，超級詳細，還貼心提醒了當天週一美術館沒開門，太周到了，比那些景點的臭臉意大利人好太多了，一聽就懂。房間和前台沒在一棟樓裏，房間在對面的一棟樓裏，辦理入住後一位帥氣壯實的小哥帶我從前台去對面的房間，路上還主動給我介紹這棟樓是新裝修的才一年，房間都很新，一路把我帶進了房間，為我介紹房間內設施，好喜歡他😍 恨不得和他就地在房間內大戰一場。房間內是智能控制的，桌上有燒水壺，還有平板，和圖片裏一模一樣。房間很大，空間很寬敞，洗手間也超級大，淋浴間也超級大能站三個人，這剛裝修的就是好，甚至有一種奢華的感覺，很有品味，住的超級舒服。房間太舒服，以至於都不想出去逛景點了，衹想躺在舒適的房間裏吹空調。早餐在前台所處的那棟樓裏，早餐廳不大，飯很温馨，有各種麪包🍞點心，火腿，雞蛋香腸，選擇不大，但也能吃。第二天退房後也是拐幾個彎就到火車站了，很方便。總之真的很推薦這家酒店。"

Nice room, but hidden fees and disappointing location
The room itself was beautiful — clean, stylishly decorated, and comfortable for a solo traveller, even if it was a little smaller than expected. So credit where it’s due: the physical space was lovely.
Unfortunately, a few things really affected my stay. I was asked for a €50 per night deposit upon check-in, which came as a complete surprise. This was not mentioned anywhere when I booked, and it hit hard as a solo traveller on a tight budget. I lost €100 before I even saw the city, and it honestly dampened the whole experience.
The staff at check-in were cold and not welcoming at all, which made the arrival feel awkward. Thankfully, check-out was much better — the person on the desk was kind and friendly, which helped leave things on a slightly better note.
As for location: it’s not ideal. The hotel is tucked behind the main train station down some pretty dirty, sketchy-feeling streets. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Duomo, and for the price I paid, I expected to be much closer to the centre.
Overall, the hotel itself is fine — but in the wrong location and definitely the wrong price bracket. Unless the prices come down and they’re more transparent about deposits, I wouldn’t stay here again."

"Overall, pretty good. During peak season, single rooms were fully booked, so I had to opt for a small twin room. The beds were quite narrow and short, and the room itself was tiny, though perfectly adequate for one person. Surprisingly, the bathroom was even larger than the main room. Cleanliness was good overall, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast spread was comprehensive. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I'd certainly recommend it to independent travelers. The only minor drawback was that my room was located next to a metal staircase, which could get quite noisy."

"A rare smart hotel in Italy, self-service check-in and check-out, very convenient, modern rooms, adequate air conditioning, comfortable showers, new room facilities, the smallest Lovely room did not feel very depressing, 20 square meters feel good, the toilet is very large. There is no small refrigerator, I can't make iced Coke to drink, this is the only small regret."

The hotel room is small size double, we had a room with a pool view and a balcony, very clean, bed linen are change evry day, pool is small, but we were lucky to find sunlounges when we need it, but most of the time the pool area was full.
Breakfast îs very very good, plenty choices, quality food, fresh juices, even ice cream... 🙂
The only thing we prefered was a shower instead of bath and perhaps the bath panel bath longer lenght as the bath become a pool, the panel does not hold the water spray
We love our stay with this place, and book again

HHONGSHENGI rarely write reviews, but I simply *had* to this time! After checking out, I discovered my car wouldn't start – I'd foolishly left something on and completely drained the battery. Within just 5 minutes, the amazing ladies at the front desk found the incredibly resourceful Alessio for me. He first brought a battery charger, but when he realized it couldn't reach, he immediately drove another car over to use its battery to jump-start mine. The entire process was completed within 10 minutes, and it was absolutely free! So, a huge shout-out to [Hotel Name] for such outstanding service, big thanks to the front desk team (both the ladies and gentlemen), and a special, massive thank you to Alessio!

MMarcos 305Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible.
Check-in & First Impressions
The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect.
One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues.
Room & Comfort
I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning.
The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily.
One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right.
The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location
The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city.
One Minor Issue
The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive.

GGuest UserIt's in a great location, 7 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from the Ufutzii Museum, but it was hard to find because there was no hotel sign! I was standing 10 meters away, but I couldn't find it even after walking back and forth, so I asked a nearby hotel staff member, who pointed to a small door and said, ”It's right there.” I pressed the intercom, had it opened, went up to the third floor, and finally checked in. The room was cute, and when I told them I was leaving early in the morning, they were flexible and said, ”I can make breakfast at the breakfast shop and have it delivered the day before.” There was a shower, a refrigerator, and bottled water for the bed. If you leave the room and go up one level, there is a shared terrace with a view of the roofs of the ancient city. If the check-in goes smoothly, it's a great place to stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the central station. But the street is too narrow and noisy when there were traffic. The staff are not friendly nor helpful. The only time you feel you are welcome was you booked tours through them. The breakfast room is small and in the basement. There is no view throughout the whole hotel.
