"Lovely little hotel very near to Marks Tey station. Comfortable, well-equipped rooms, a nice restaurant for breakfast, and great front desk service too! Some minor quibbles: The electricity in the room kept tripping, and we couldn’t turn off the lights in the wardrobe without everything shutting off. Also, the shower bath liquid dispenser wouldn’t reattach after falling down mid-shower. Other than that, a pleasant enough stopover. Wish parking wasn’t so expensive though!"

"The hotel has a beautiful environment, the room is very clean and comfortable for two nights, and the restaurant is delicious. Surrounded by kindergartens, supermarkets, close to the University of Essex. Surrounded by national forest parks, cute animals can be seen walking"

"I would have given a high score but the sheer noise, disruption and pure havoc caused by disgusting residents having fighting matches in the rooms and corridor close to our room made the stay horrible. The staff were great I trying to deal with terrible guests but the noise still continued and doors regularly slammed hard. Didn’t sleep well at all "
