The first Market hall of Dourdan was built in the XIIIth century and had a huge roof structure. The castle of Dourdan, made by Philippe Auguste in 1222, was built on the ruins of one of Hughes Capet’s Motte and Baileys castles.

"The breakfast is very early, it is until 9:30, it is a very early time for those who are on holiday and want to rest, check out is until 10h. too early. We were not warned of this time when we arrived at midnight and when we were close to 10 a.m. to take breakfast, they left food, but only what was still exposed."
