Seville, Cordoba, Ronda are all also within reach. There is much to do and explore also in the immediate vicinity of the finca too. Competa lies just 3 km away. It is a magnificent white mountain village (pueblo blanco) known as 'The Pearl of the Axarquia'. It clings to the mountain side just as the other smaller villages nearby. It is a 'real' Spanish village and has all your holiday requirements: including a good selection of shops (fresh fish every day), bars, restaurants, a health centre, and dentist. We recommend having a cafe con leche in the square and 'people watching'! Many people visit the Axarquia to walk, and we can highly recommend this as walkers ourselves. From all day treks high up in the mountains, to short rambles suitable for all ages and abilities - there is something for everyone when it comes to walking in the area. In the finca you will find plenty of walking books and printouts that you are welcome to use. SUMMARY: A holiday at the finca is suitable for you if you like getting away from it all but still having options for the beach or cultural days out. It is a private and relaxing place for young and old alike. The terrace is a safe area - the pool is not gated however so do take care and always watch youngsters. You will love the secluded terrace with its comfortable wooden steamers and the 'al fresco' dining and proper Weber charcoal BBQ.
