"Wonderful stay for families with younger children. We stayed at the Totoro room located at the second level in a 3-story house which was spotless clean. The kids had so much fun with the slide in the room and with the wide variety of toys downstairs. There are also electric vehicles for the children to play outside. Breakfast was provided with generous portions. The host was very hospitable and kind. Since she was available that day, she offered to bring us around Yilan, which was very much appreciated. Host also prepared toy gifts for the kids. We are impressed and highly recommend this minsu."

Kkuai pengThis hotel is quite ok. Although no one will come in to clean during the stay, you can go to the front desk to ask for supplies. The bathroom is also ok.
I read reviews before saying that the sound insulation is not good, but in fact it is not bad. You may also use earplugs to sleep; the transportation is very convenient, it is only a 5-minute walk to the train station, night market and meat soup. The shop selling souvenirs nearby is also good; the staff are also very good. We will introduce delicious food near the night market when you enter the hospital.
P.S. The basement of that building is for commercial property, so single travelers who donāt mind donāt want it, but I havenāt encountered any weird people in the few days Iāve been there, so it should be fine if you notice it.

TTango GinaI was impressed by breakfast, no processed food, some are the most primitive and prototype food, roasted sweet potato roast pumpkin, pumpkin soup, carrot kiss fish porridge, scallion pancake roast chicken, boiled eggs, up to four kinds of fruit, plus milk tea orange juice and coffee series.
Regardless of the building, garden planning, room layout and restaurant furnishings, they are all European style, and the environment is very clean. I saw the service staff finishing the garden and facilities for two days and one night.
It was my first time to take my cat out and I felt good.

YYu HuanWe recently stayed at Wellspring by Silks in Jiaoxi for a short getaway with my 7-year-old child, and it was one of the most relaxing and family-friendly stays we've had in Taiwan.
Location:
The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Jiaoxi Train Station, making it easy to arrive with a child and luggage. One of the best parts is how close it is to all the great local eateriesāfrom traditional ********* breakfast spots to noodle shops and dessert places, everything is within a short stroll. We loved popping out for quick meals and snacks without planning too much. Even though it's centrally located, the hotel feels like a quiet, relaxing retreat once you're inside.
Room:
Our room was modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The private in-room hot spring bath was a huge hitānot just for me but also for my 7-year-old. The water temperature was easy to adjust, and it became our daily ritual to soak and relax.
Kid-Friendliness:
Although the hotel has a stylish, adult-focused vibe, the staff welcomed children. They provided child-sized slippers, which made my little one feel like a VIP guest. The rooftop pool area was also suitable for kids (with supervision), and we spent a lovely day splashing around with mountain views.
One thoughtful bonus: even after we checked out, we were still allowed to use the rooftop pool and hot spring facilities. That extra flexibility made a massive difference for us ā it meant we could enjoy one more relaxing soak and a bit of pool time before catching our train home. It showed how the hotel goes the extra mile to accommodate families.
Facilities:
The rooftop infinity pool and hot spring area are just as beautiful as in the photosāpeaceful, scenic, and well-maintained. There's also a cozy lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks, which came in handy for quick breaks between activities. Everything felt clean, well-designed, and easy to access, even with a child.
Service:
The service was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. The front desk staff were helpful with suggestions for nearby places to eat and always greeted my child with a smile. They made us feel welcome from start to finish.
Breakfast:
Breakfast was a treat for adults and kids ā a great mix of Western and ********* options. My 7-year-old especially loved the fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, and mini croissants, while I enjoyed the local touches like sweet potato porridge, scallion pancakes, and handmade soy milk.
Overall:
Wellspring by Silks is a perfect blend of peaceful luxury and family-friendly comfort. Whether traveling solo, as a couple, or with kids, it's a great spot to unwind and enjoy the best of Jiaoxi's hot spring culture. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

EEuniceWBefore we arrived, I emailed the hotel to require assistance from hotel to check for private charter car service for YiLan and the staff was very responsive and helpful.
Upon arrival, front desk staff was a little cold (unlike what people mentioned in the reviews). We were swiftly checked in and could go up to the room.
Hotel lobby is very cosy and welcoming, but the rooms are starting to look a little old with moulding and wear and tear. Very large, spacious and clean room. If I'm not wrong, the water to fill up the tub is not hot spring water but just normal tap/shower water. If you're looking for a hotel with with hot spring water, do take note.
Location of the hotel is great though. We were very near Jiaoxi bus transfer station and managed to walk to our hotel within 5 mins. There are restaurants and fast food, bar, and a shopping area nearby. Jiaoxi hot spring night market (only open on Sundays) is 4mins drive away and Yilan train station was 10mins on foot.
Breakfast service was great! Staff were quick to clear and set up tables without making us feel like we were being chased out. They were also very sweet. On our 3rd morning, we needed to leave to rush for our bus to Taoyuan, we were holding our luggages and they directed us to store our luggages with the front desk first. They saw that we were in a rush and told us that we could let them know if we're would like to take along some snacks or drink to accompany us on our trip. They even bid us good bye.
Check out process was smooth with an aloof staff. Felt like he couldn't be bothered.

Toilet toilet paper is flat toilet paper. You have to count the number of sheets yourself and it is difficult to know the thickness (it depends on your personal habits)
When we arrived, it was around 17:30 and the service staff asked you to have some snacks.

Indoors, we saw that there was no parking space in front of the hotel when we returned (renting a motorcycle) because the door was full of motorcycles. Unless we move the car, there is still room for one. Come out immediately and tell us that you can park in the opposite parking lot without moving the car. ļ¼Not far away within 50 metersļ¼

GGuest UserPleasantly surprised and impressed by the hotel's architectural design and the vast lawn in front of the hotel.
However, with only one receptionist handling the check-in, the process was unbearably slow and took a long time to complete.
Fortunately, when we finally went into our room, we once again were blown away by the spacious room configuration. There were two large beds against the wall, and L-shape sofa couches, with plenty of bay windows surrounding the magnificent room. The bathroom was okay, no Toto. But thatās fine. The gigantic hot spring circling tub was large enough to fit at least four adults. It is equipped with a whirlpool! And thereās a big glass shower room, of course.
The bedding was very comfortable. There are also typical tea and coffee bags with four water bottles and a small fridge. All the expected amenities were provided in the lovely hotel.
Although there are paid afternoon tea facilities at a reasonable price, it didnāt offer to dine for the evening. But I guess itās understandable since thereāre plenty of great restaurants in the JiouSi and Yilan areas.
The breakfast was so so lovely. Weāre up late. But the staff did remind us to pick up as much food as we needed before they put them away.
Overall, itās much better than we expected. We initially thought it might be tacky and exaggerated in its deco. We found this 5-year-old hotel used suitable materials to compose its content. So we liked it and enjoyed it very much. We will come again with our friends. We highly recommend it!
