"Location is great if you love living in an ancient castle, worth starting here for the experience and I love the environment. Service of staff was not pan Pacific level though. I've emailed and submitted enquiry on their hotel website but did not receive and response. Attitude of service staff was poor, bellboy's tone was near rude.
I recommend staying just for the environment, don't expect good service standards."

"I'm so glad I booked this amazing hotel!
The location is absolutely fantastic – it's incredibly close to Pingjiang Road and Chang Street, just a 5-minute walk away. Plus, there's a great craft beer bar only two minutes on foot. I genuinely love this hotel so much that I would definitely return to Suzhou just to stay here again.
Our room was also perfect: very spacious and spotlessly clean.
The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. They even went the extra mile, reminding us to take an umbrella when it rained and kindly lending us one."

"The hotel boasts a fantastic location. UniPark is nearby, offering plenty of dining options. You can easily walk or take public transport directly to Shiquan Street for a pleasant city walk. Both bus stops and subway stations are conveniently close, and getting to Jinji Lake by metro is also very convenient. Suzhou University (Suda) is in the vicinity, making it a great option for families with high school-aged children.
The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They proactively called us beforehand to provide important travel tips. Any requests we had were promptly addressed. Upon check-out, they even thoughtfully prepared cooling patches for the children and provided complimentary drinking water."

"The room was exceptionally clean, and the traditional garden-style architecture was truly captivating. Our duplex room was impressively spacious with plenty of room to relax, and the beds were neatly made.
The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. The drinks offered here are delicious and very reasonably priced! Plus, they can be delivered right to your room, which was incredibly convenient. It was quite hot during our stay, so we especially appreciated the complimentary sour plum juice and mint water provided to guests – a truly thoughtful touch that made our experience superb. We even asked the owner for ice cups for our cocktails, which she happily provided – fantastic service!
The guesthouse is conveniently located by the road, close to various attractions and convenience stores. On either side, you'll find authentic local eateries serving delicious snacks like Shengjian for breakfast. Both the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum are just a five-minute walk away. It was perfect to be able to retreat to the comfort of our room for a break when the afternoon heat became too much."

"We understand that this is a newly opened hotel and perhaps they had never hosted foreign guests with a special visa (non-tourist visa) before. However, we had a very unpleasant experience. Around midnight, the staff nearly forced us to leave the hotel, assuming that we had overstayed simply because our entry date into China was more than 30 days ago.
We are two women traveling together, and being almost kicked out of the hotel in the middle of the night was extremely stressful and unsafe.
On the positive side, the location is convenient — only a 7-minute walk to the famous Shantang Road.
Tips for future guests: the hot tub is on the outdoor terrace, but since the weather is still warm and there are many mosquitoes, it’s not really enjoyable. Overall, it was not worth the money."

"The room was spacious, and the tatami was wonderful. It was perfect for sipping tea while sitting on the tatami and looking out the window at Pingjiang Road. The view was stunning. The front desk staff was very friendly, responsive, and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located, just a few dozen meters downstairs from Pingjiang Road, making it very convenient. There are many attractions nearby, including the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and the China Kunqu Opera Museum, all within easy walking distance. Downstairs is a street offering convenient shopping and dining options, with cheongsam-style shops and traditional Suzhou cuisine everywhere. In short, the location is perfect for everything! LLucianaBest hotel service throughout my trip in China this time! Hotel staff are really attentive, friendly and helpful.
They patiently answered my questions, helped me carry my luggage to the room, helped us book a grand canal boat trip (near the Confucius Temple) and drove us to the location and waited until we finish the boat trip and drove us back to the hotel.
No telephone in the room, so make sure to add the hotel wechat to communicate with staff.
They also helped me visit a silk mini museum/factory/store, since I wanted to buy a silk quilt (again they drove me to location, waited, and drove me back to hotel). Very happy, since I successfully bought a 5 pounds-weight silk quilt (equal to 2.5 kg of silk) for a good price! I've tried the silk quilt at home, very soft and comfortable, and had a very good night sleep.
In front of the hotel there is a road construction (government project), so when I left for airport, staff again drove me to the main street and waited until my didi car arrived.
As you can see in the picture, the hotel is really pretty. It was converted from a historical mansion. The hotel is next to pingjiang road, so don't be surprised if in the afternoon there are street photoshoots (girls in hanfu and photographer) in front of the hotel.
Bed was comfortable, and there is a wide sofa next to the window. The room is equipped with coffee machine, and there is an air purifying machine so you can drink water from the machine (can be set for warm, cold, or hot water). There is a mini refrigerator with beverages, mostly free for drink (milk, soda, water), while for beers need to purchase. They also gave a welcome fruit and biscuits in a basket. The room key was very pretty. Bathroom was divided into 3 parts (WC, wash basin, shower room) and also really pretty. When I left, they still gave me a packet of souvenir containing Suzhou's snack (nut, preserved fruit, biscuit, etc).
For breakfast, staff will ask your preference (chinese or western style). I chose chinese style and they provided noodle, pork, etc. Very delicious!
Staying in pingjiang road is very convenient. Many attractions are in walking distance (from several meters to 2 km), such as pipayu performance, kunqu museum, humble administrator's garden, etc. Many performances nearby in the afternoon and evening that you can choose.
Overall I really in enjoy my stay in this hotel. Will stay here again if I visit Suzhou in the future. Thank you!

MM342463****Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! It was incredibly comfortable. There are makeup and styling shops conveniently located right outside the entrance. Pingjiang Road, with its beautiful scenery, is just a short walk to the right. The hotel itself is very quiet, and the rooms are spacious. A lovely fragrance greeted me as soon as I entered the room. I'm so glad I chose this hotel. It's super close and convenient for visiting all the main attractions. The front desk staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful. Honestly, there are just too many wonderful things to praise about this place. A definite 100/100 thumbs up! 👍

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by their adorable canine ambassador, Kylie the Labrador, setting the tone for the warm hospitality to follow. The check-in service was remarkably efficient, with special recognition to Rainbow who ensured our party of three couples, including elderly parents, received accessible room upgrades. The staff's attentiveness was evident throughout our stay—they greeted us in corridors, anticipated our needs, and maintained a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness.
The rooms were impeccable, featuring premium bedding, turndown service, and high-end amenities including Dyson hair dryers. The quality of in-room offerings far surpassed what one would typically expect from a hotel at this price, demonstrating their commitment to excellence down to the smallest detail.
The property beautifully integrates historical courtyards and buildings, creating tranquil outdoor spaces perfect for relaxation. Bar 168 became our favorite evening gathering spot for social hour and drinks, offering the perfect atmosphere to unwind after exploring the city. We were there during a heat wave and were perfectly contented to not leave the hotel at all.
Breakfast was truly an event worth anticipating each morning at their black pearl rated restaurant. The diverse selection included both Western and Chinese cuisine, with standout features being the made-to-order noodles, wonton, and egg station. We particularly appreciated how staff consistently offered tea or coffee upon arrival, ensuring we always had a warm beverage to enjoy with our meal.
The hotel's strategic location offers unparalleled convenience—situated directly above an MRT station and adjacent to a modern shopping area. For those seeking cultural experiences, a short 15-minute walk leads to the historical tourist district, making this property perfect for first-time visitors to Suzhou through winding neighbourhood streets.
We extend our gratitude to Cherry for a smooth checkout process, and even the hotel's merchandise—particularly the keychains—provided charming mementos of our stay.

WwindhunterWe stayed at Artyzen Habitat Suzhou and overall, we were very pleased. The location is excellent — convenient for getting to major attractions. The interior design is absolutely stunning — modern, stylish, and tasteful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything you might need. Breakfast was also a highlight — delicious, varied, and made with quality ingredients.
However, unfortunately, the service was a major letdown. For a hotel positioned as 5-star, the service was, frankly, far below expectations — even by 3-star standards, it would be considered poor.
When we arrived, no one greeted me at the entrance, and no help was offered with my luggage — I had to pull a heavy suitcase out of the taxi myself. Things got even more surprising: I had to walk around the hotel looking for staff to check in, because at 9 PM there was no one at the reception desk.
At check-out, the same story repeated itself — no assistance with luggage, no farewell.
The hotel is genuinely beautiful and comfortable, but the level of service does not match the advertised standard. I hope management takes note of this, because the hotel truly has great potential.

1118165****After staying one night, we promptly decided to extend our stay for another. The hotel is conveniently located on the second floor, directly on Pingjiang Road. Despite being a street-facing room, the double-glazed windows provided excellent sound insulation – we didn't hear any street noise at all. It's a beautifully designed hotel, converted from an old building, boasting a charming vintage aesthetic with natural wood and white walls. The bathroom features a wet/dry separation, and the smart toilet, while Roca (not Toto), was perfectly adequate. The central AC operates independently from the room's main power, and it was already running and cooling the room when we arrived, which was a huge plus! There's also a communal self-service washing machine. They have a gym, but it was closed during our visit. With around 20 rooms in total, a few offer lake views. It's super convenient for getting anywhere, and the subway station is less than a 10-minute walk away.
