"The hotel is in a great location with convenient transportation. It takes no more than 10-15 minutes to walk to all the attractions in the historical district. It is also very convenient to eat various specialties. You can take a taxi and it will stop directly at the door. The hotel service is very good, and they are all very warm and thoughtful. The room is also very clean and well-equipped. It feels very comfortable to come back from a day's walk and make a pot of Kung Fu tea by yourself. Sometimes when you stand at the window facing the street and look down, you will see someone taking pictures of the hotel building, as if you are living in someone else's scenery."

"The hotel is clean and completely non-smoking, which I really appreciated. They offer complimentary self-service laundry, which was a huge help and saved me from having to pack too many clothes. There’s also a comfortable gym, though I do hope the hotel will consider adding dumbbells in the future. Overall, it was a great stay and I’ll definitely return!"

"The hotel service truly exceeded our expectations. They proactively reached out before our check-in. We had mentioned in advance that it was our child's birthday on the day of arrival, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared a welcome gift, which added a wonderful special touch to our stay. The outdoor pool is also beautiful, and our little one had a fantastic time playing at the hotel for two whole days. Our room was impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location is superb, being very close to MixC City, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. Our child absolutely loved their stay. The service is absolutely top-notch, surpassing that of many high-end hotels."

"The hotel is right inside the scenic area, opposite the Kaiyuan Temple and Paifang Street. It is very convenient for families with children and is very close to Guangji Bridge. There is also a light show on Guangji Bridge at night, which starts at 8 o'clock and lasts for 10 minutes. The hotel rooms are clean and sanitary, and there are coffee, black tea... complete facilities in the room. There is also a laundry room downstairs, which is very nice and convenient."

"First off, the check-in process at the front desk was quite efficient. However, it's peak tourist season right now, so there were many families with kids, making it quite lively. Upon entering the room, the view from the window was excellent, thanks to the great natural light (we booked a room with a view). The bedding, bathroom, and carpet, etc., were clean and tidy (the tea set in the photos was our own). The hotel has a basement parking lot, a restaurant on the 2nd floor, and a gym, swimming pool, and spa on the 4th floor. The recreational facilities and dining options are also quite good. Oh, and we also received a welcome gift upon check-in – some local Shantou snacks (pictured in Fig. 2, Fig. 3). I didn't get photos of everything else this time, but I'll make sure to take more next time I stay. The only minor drawback is that there are very few EV charging stations in the ground floor parking lot, and they operate on a first-come, first-served basis. It would be great if the hotel could install more, given the growing number of electric vehicles these days. Finally, the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. It offers great value for money, boasts an excellent location, and is highly suitable for both business and leisure travelers."

"Excellent location, walking distance to Longyan South Rd, the food street. Xiaogongyuan (Little Park) and other attractions within easy reach by taxi or DiDi. Staff are friendly and helpful, including sharing where to go, what to eat, when, etc. Hotel a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Shower over bath. Would recommend to other travellers"

"6 of us stayed 4 nights at this hotel. This hotel very clean & staff were very professional and courteous. Must highlight the front office staff especially this gentleman Mr Liang Liao very cheerful & helpful.We also booked their van service for 2 days. One day one of member not feeling well thus she didn't went for tour. We were impressed by this driver who rang the hotel staff to help us to keep an eye on our friend. The hotel even provide porridge for her. This shown how caring your staff is. They go for extra miles to take care their clients. Please convey our appreciations to them. We will strongly recommend anyone who come to Shunde to stay at this wonderful hotel."

"Hotel was pretty new and not far from the HSR station. It is also fairly near to the Zhujiang Night Food street. Rooms were decent however, the knob for the shower was broken when we checked in. We requested for a change in room but they said they'll send a technician to fix it, and if it cannot be fixed then they'll change our room. Design of the shower cubicle was a little flawed as water seeps out to the room itself. It also seeped through to the toilet cubicle, making the floor wet. Each room was only given a tiny bottle of shower foam, shampoo and conditioner. I can accept having only one tiny bottle of conditioner but how can 2 big adults share one tiny bottle of shower foam and shampoo? I think that bottle alone was only enough for half my body ... Hahaha. I saw the housekeeping auntie and asked for more but she was rather reluctant but eventually gave us 2 more. As I have a habit of also taking a shower in the morning, we used up the shower foam. I asked the housekeeping auntie again the next morning and she said 'you already took extra yesterday' hmmmm... Amenities were also not carefully checked and one of the vanity pack (cotton buds and cotton pad) was actually a leftover/half used from the previous guest. Highlight of the stay has got to be the red peach kueh making session. It was fun, and after making, they will ask if you want to eat it straight away or have it for breakfast the next day. Nice gesture. All in, a pretty good stay."

"This was my first stay at the Shantou Marriott Hotel, and overall, I was extremely satisfied. Below is a detailed breakdown for future guests. **Transportation:** From Shantou Station, a 15-minute taxi ride costing just 12 yuan got me to the Marriott. Super convenient! **The Room:** The floor-to-ceiling windows offered an unparalleled sea view. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Besides the standard four complimentary bottled waters, they thoughtfully provided a large bottle of Nongfu Spring water, perfect for guests who enjoy brewing Kung Fu tea. The shower amenities were large bottles of 'thisworks' products, which had a lovely scent. While the hairdryer wasn't a Dyson, it was powerful and dried hair quickly. A full set of toiletries, including a dental kit, was also provided. The king-size mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring even my elderly travel companions slept soundly. **Service:** The young lady who checked me in on June 16th at 2 PM was professional, efficient, and incredibly quick. She attentively asked if we had any special requests, and my request for a latex pillow was promptly fulfilled. **Dining:** Breakfast was rich and diverse, featuring freshly squeezed cucumber juice and other homemade beverages. You absolutely *must* try the croissants! There were also many local Chaoshan delicacies not to be missed, especially a bowl of the Pig's Offal and Meatball Kway Teow. In the Executive Lounge, Victoria Yang was exceptionally nice and approachable. Upon learning I was traveling with my 75-year-old parents, she enthusiastically recommended numerous restaurants and shared excellent local travel tips. Her genuine and passionate service left a truly wonderful impression of the Marriott. The buffet dinner is only available on weekends; on weekdays, you can easily take a taxi to explore the countless amazing culinary options Shantou has to offer – you simply can't try them all! **Facilities:** Marriott's brand amenities consistently impress. The swimming pool, though not huge, was clean and well-maintained. The changing rooms were very thoughtful, featuring two steam rooms and even a swimsuit dryer. Upon entering the room, the TV displayed a personalized welcome message, a nice VIP touch. **Hygiene:** Excellent. The room felt very new, with no unpleasant renovation odors, and the air conditioning was commendably quiet."
