Excellent location, golden roof is only a stonr throw away. Room was amazing and spacious with full kitchen and complimentary milk. We only spent 1 night. Just to note for those wanting to book for more than few nights, changing towels and house keeping/room cleaning would be charged fees. Plus, I did not realize this before booking, but there is additional tourist charges for staying, from memory about 35 euro per person.

This was an excellent place to stay in Innsbruck. Its on the beautiful old road in the heart of the city very close to Golden Roof. The staff were friendly and welcoming and they soon had us booked in. Each of the floors has just two apartments. We stayed in 'Hofburg' which was at the rear of the property. It felt very private and extremely quiet. The apartment is big and spacious and very clean. Kitchen is well equipped and it was a good efficient oven - ideal for heating up the gorgeous croissants from the bakery across the road. A handy Spar shop is very close by and it was a short walk to the river and all the attractions of Central Innsbruck. This was three friends travelling together so we used the comfy sofa bed as well as the two light and airy bedrooms. The Kaiser Max restaurant on the ground floor dished up a delicious meal on our first night.

Stayed in appartment on the third floor with 5 people. Two bunkbed-rooms and one master bedroom. Appartment was spacious and clean. TV did not really function. Bath tub in master bedroom is… not used that often I suppose. Actually a 3.5 rating.

We had a booking issue and the manager was very unhelpful and rude. Some other reviews point this out. We should have listened to them and stayed away. Otherwise, the location is very central. Place was clean and as expected. The main issue was the extreme noise which ruined our stay. The street noise was very loud late on into the evening. It started again at 5am with street cleaning, deliveries and so forth. The old windows aren’t sound proofed enough to cope. So we barely got any sleep. I’d imagine this to be even worse in the summer if any ventilation is needed (see other reviews). All in all we had quite a negative experience in terms of the accommodation which was a shame as the city is so pleasant.

Amazing rooms and perfect location. We stayed in the Golden roof room and the Max residence. Both were plenty spacious, good views, and fully equipped kitchen. They are right at the Christmas market, close to many places to eat, and bus lines.

I really wanted to like this place, right in the middle of the old town with large rooms by European standards. But when the manager threatens to call the cops and makes your sister-in-law cry based on a booking error, well you can only rate it one star. We were two families. My sister-in-law had a family of 5 and booked one of the rooms on ******* that had 2 double beds and a couch. ******* only let her enter 4 guests, which she figured was a limitation of how ******* worked. In any case, it didn't matter, as my family of 4 had booked a different room with the same number of beds, but which definitely slept 6, so we could take an extra person. Fast forward to check-in. When the manager asked my sister-in-law how many people she had, she said 5, at which point he went ballistic. He started calling her a "f***ing American", told her to get out of the hotel, and threatened to call the cops. It took several f-bombs later and a bit of help from the rest of the staff (which seemed dismayed at the manager's behavior), until he let her stay. At this point she was in tears. Completely abhorrent behavior. That manager needs a new profession. OH, and everything the review below said about the heat is 100% true. The building is designed like a greenhouse with a big open atrium with skylights at the top. This traps the heat in the building and sends it to the top floor. If you are unlucky enough to have the top floor rooms like the Stadtturm, you will bake. The highs during our stay topped out at only 80 degrees, but you can't get the heat out of the room with one tiny window. They might even promise you a portable air conditioner, but they don't vent it, so it just spits cold air out the front and hot air out the back, for no net gain. NEVER stay on the top floors in the summer here.

We are a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids traveling from the USA around Europe. We stayed at the Kaiser Max Apartments at Innsbruck in July. We rented a room after looking at the pictures provided by the hotel to all the booking websites. In ALL the pictures the rooms have several large windows and appeared to have very good air flow. The description was an apartment with two beds. Plus sofa, bathroom and kitchen. At our arrival to the location we were placed in the apartment on the attic on fifth floor. Right under the roof. There were no regular windows at all! There is just a little hole ( tiny window) in front and nothing at all on the second room. No ventilation at all. No air flow at all. Complete hot suffocation during the summer time. This should be ilegal. Because it is summer time the whole unit was an oven inside due to the lack of regular windows. Hard to breathe, just like an oven/ sauna. We requested to be moved to another room and the manager told us he could not accommodate our request. He also did not offer us a portable air conditioner. The fans he offered were not enough because the hot air had no place to leave the room and we were on the fifth floor directly under the roof. The second room was tiny and had absolutely zero air flow. Just a little warm hole with a mattress. Our kids toasted there! We could not stay in the room during the day because it felt like 40-45 degrees C. During the night was not any better because there were no regular windows. The hot air is trapped there. No one in my family was able to sleep for two nights. The pictures were false, false advertising showing many windows everywhere. You may be their next victim to get stuck inside of their attic like a hot prison. BE AWARE!!! This experience destroyed our Austrian trip. We were tired and grumpy the whole time. Communication with the property manager was difficult. He seems to have an answer and a plan for everything. Nothing is never their fault. He blames the costumers for everything. Please read the other bad reviews online. Many other tourists got stuck inside of this hot attic!!! It should be illegal to rent rooms without airflow and regular windows to tourists during the summer. Please look at the online pictures advertising the rooms and visit the apartment on the attic during the summer and you will understand that renting that place to tourists and their families is pure torture and gross negligence. It is an abuse! Please do not be their next victim!

We stayed here for 1 night. On the check out date we left in early morning around 7.30am. Our room is on 5th floor, we took elevator down with luggage but NO ONE at front desk. Light still off. So my husband took elevator back to room and left the KEY in the room!!. I and my kids waited at front desk. 2 weeks later, I got charged to my credit card account for EUR80 without any notice!!!! I texted hotel, they said they can't find the KEY. I insisted them that my husband already returned and asked them to see CCTV on that day!!. But hotel neglected, no responded and not even replied me. The hotel is very helpless and not even tried to solve problem.
