It's the first time I've booked A 4 STAR HOTEL THAT DOESN'T HAVE AIR CONDITIONING AND A MINI-BAR IN THE ROOM. I'll tell you my experience. After booking a triple and a double room with a well-known tourist provider, we arrive at the hotel and already the receptionist (GURLY AND GRUMPY GENTLEMAN), THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT RECEPTION AND ACCOMMODATION SHOULD BE, who did not speak Italian (even if it is provided on the site), ordered me to stay calm to my requests, which were also forwarded in advance via the booking site and never replied (actually he replied after 3 days that we had left ). Ultimately he assigns us a double room in the hotel building and a triple in a nearby building, on the first floor and without a lift (without even helping us carry our suitcases). The triple room, despite the non-smoking sign, was evidently of lower quality and different from those booked. THEREFORE BEWARE OF THE ROOMS THAT SHOW YOU WHY THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM THOSE ASSIGNED. I also point out that this room, in addition to being of inferior quality and detached from the hotel (in fact, it was necessary to go outside and walk 50 meters), WAS DIRTY AND INFESTED BY A NAUSEABOUS SMELL OF SMOKE, which is why I point this out by highlighting that this situation would have generated problems with staying overnight and breathing well. The same guy, after my polite explanation of the situation, almost moved with compassion, assigns us an additional double room in the same body of the hotel, according to him, the last one left. We therefore move there and divide into the 3 rooms. However, the surprises begin. The guy, who would be worthy of a story by Moliere, orders us to return the keys to the triple room (the one with the bad smell). And I point out to him that there are 5 of us and that two double rooms are not enough for us, but he insists because he has other clients to accommodate. At that point I didn't know whether to laugh or curse. However with my self control I returned the keys to the triple room (we will never have been able to stay there) and the 5 of us suited up in two double rooms. I also claimed the refund of the price difference between the triple and the double but, to date, there has been no response.
