"Taichung is a popular destination for motels, and the more famous ones are all of a certain standard. The room size at Domo is a very good value for the price, and the overall environment is very clean. The indoor lighting is relatively bright among motels, making it very suitable for family travel. Many motels often dim the lighting for the sake of atmosphere, but it is better to dim the brighter parts but not the darker parts. It's a pity that although the bathroom is large, the bathtub is too small. Most motels have larger bathtubs in business rooms."

YYuan JieClean hotel with great staff located at a good location. Appreciate the daily bar snacks they put out with traditional ********* snacks and drinks. They also have an area showcasing the different attractions near the hotel which is a much appreciated touch. Will stay here again if I visit the area!

I love how the capsule is, however there's little to no sound proofing as the covered area is only covered by curtains as seen in the photos,
Toilet is within the capsule room, it is very clean and big and has basic necessities. Has hair dryer
They do not provide towels, just remember to bring yours
Has supper ramen time as well as provided breakfast, this is applicable for all checked-in guest!

AAnonymous UserStayed here from 10 Apr to 14 Apr. It is about 10-15mins walk Taichung Railway station. The hotel is within the central district of Taichung (buildings are older here), but the hotel itself looks and feel relatively new and modern. It is conveniently located near lots of food options, and the Taichung Second Market and Miyahara is only about 5-10mins walk away.
The room is clean and spacious. It has a nice modern design too. The basic amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, lotion and hairdryer are provided. Can’t seem to find local channels on the TV but you can use apps like netflix and youtube.
The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast, tea time (if i recall correctly) and supper. The variety is acceptable given that this is not a big hotel. food is decent too. For breakfast there was a mini salad bar, porridge station, various steamed buns, toasts. For supper, there were braised minced meat rice and side dishes, soup, DIY noodle station, steamed buns, toasts, DIY beancurd station, some snacks/tidbits. There is also dessert with red/green bean soup, drinks and ice cream.
Just one minor hiccup - a false fire alarm was trigger at 4am on one of the nights which only affected the higher floors from 9th storey and above. The guests on our storey werent aware if the lift is working or if it is safe to use and we ended up climbing the stairs down, only to find out later that there was no real fire. The affected guests waited at the lounge for about 30mins as the alarm was still ringing. The firemen eventually came and turned off the alarm. The hotel did apologise for the inconvenience by pasting a notice in the lift and informed guests to reach out to them if there are any queries. It would be nice if the hotel can engage the affected guests more directly and possible provide some form of compensation as service recovery.
Nonetheless, still a pleasant stay overall!

GGuest UserThe accommodation is conveniently located near everything I needed to do. There's also limited parking. The environment is clean and natural, and the food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The only issue is the bathroom location, which requires some adjustment. The hair dryer is for styling, so I borrow it at the counter.

Bbridget tonglocation was pretty convenient had many breakfast options, convenient stores and bus stops within walking distances only down side would be that due to the garden in the center there were a lot of mosqitoes and other bugs in the room? i had clusters of insect bites on my legs but my family who were in another room did not face this issue so rather hit or miss

MMichael ClThe Check Inn Express hotel offers self service check in and check out. For our 2 stays here, several days apart, the check in did not work. The trip.com booking reference was not recognized, a non-Taiwan phone number also is not accepted and the email option likewise did not work. The first time we called a number at the desk, no answer for a while then finally two house-leaning staff appeared and checked us in (manually). It is not clear if this is a trip.com or hotel technical issue.
The lobby is sparse to say the least, the left luggage area is an unattended space, but local honesty and courtesy make it okay nonetheless to leave your cases there for a few hours. Taiwan rules seem to be no check in before 15:00 or even 16:00 in one place, from our experience in Tainan, Taichung and Taipei.
All this being said, the staff we did interact with at Check Inn Express were friendly and helpful, even if the check in process failed. Check out is very swift and it worked well using their self service terminal.

GGuest UserI misread the description in Chinese so this was partly my fault for booking a rather shabby room! The staff were very helpful and friendly though, so that was really lovely.
The location was great, and I could easily get around. The only thing was really the amenities inside the room for this room type was flabbergasting! In short, every item inside was just old and of bare quality. You can have old furniture but have the furniture well-maintained. To name a few, the slippers provided were torn, the inside of the fridge was rusty, and there was no shower curtain inside the bathroom!
The price was within my budget during peak season and I didn’t want to spend more, plus all other rooms were full, so I didn’t have much to complain about my stay. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious enough. But objectively speaking for the price I was charged, it was definitely pricey given the quality of the room. All I can say is, the photos provided by the hotel were definitely adjusted heavily for lighting and colour.
Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay as the room fit my purpose for the stay. It was rather cozy. :)
