"Very close to Shangri-La bus station, but also very quiet. The store owner is very attentive and the room is very clean and comfortable. You can eat as much fruit as you want, and the boss is very enthusiastic and helps solve the problem of hypersensitivity, and provides oxygen bottles, rhodiola rosea, and anti-hypersensitivity oral liquid. You can directly view Songzanlin Temple from the roof. This price-performance ratio is already very good in Diqing Shangri-La. After traveling for two days, I stayed at Shangri-La for another two days."

"It's a very nice hotel with convenient parking. The room has floor heating, which is quite warm. There are also blankets in the closet so you don't have to worry when you're cold. It's also very quiet. The staff are also very nice. When we ran out of shoes in the room, they sent them right away. We also found out that there was not enough water, and they brought it to us. It's very thoughtful."

YYizhixiangchimianbaoderenThe inn is right next to the ancient city, and it is very convenient to get there by Didi. It only takes a few minutes to walk to Guishan Park and the ancient city. At first, I was a little worried that the inn would be old after opening for a few years, but after checking in, I found that it was well maintained, the room was large, there was no smell, and the decoration style was what we liked, just like the pictures. The bathroom was large and clean, and the bath water temperature was stable. The owner was very enthusiastic and the breakfast was delicious.

LLaiJoy's guesthouse is for those who want a bit more peace and quiet. Even though it is only about 2km down the road from Tina's Guest House and the bus depot, it feels like a world away from the crowds. Even though it is well catered to guests, we were still able to catch glimpses of people living their lives tending to the fields and animals. The food was delicious and plenty and made fresh on the spot! We loved the dumplings and they even accommodated our request of wrapping it up then reheating them for our next day's lunch. The room was spacious and came with all the mod cons, including built in heating for the bathroom and heating/air con unit for the room. Even having said all that, the most spectacular thing about the room had to be the view. The giant windows over looking the rice terraces, Yulong snow mountain and the roaring river was something out of a movie!!!! And on top of that, Joy was extremely helpful when the strong winds prevented my drone was returning back to me, she took us in her car to successfully retrieve it. I can't recommend Joy's guesthouse highly enough!
Tip: take the Ray of sunshine route (take a right about 500m after arriving at Tina's guesthouse). You will need to pay 15CNY to get down to the gorge, we'll worth it, then another 15CNY to take the Ray of Sunshine path to Sean's guest house (which is just down the road from Joy's). The latter path was one of our favourites as we had the path all to ourselves!

GGuest UserI must say the location is a bit rural and the road quite patchy. But i just love how the host treat us. She welcome us warmly, provide us tea, snack and even heat up our room since we were so late from our town detour. Temperature in Xianggelila is crazy cold, but with the warm room ready for you, just feel like home. She even provide us pick up/drop off luggage at the north ancient gate. The inn even got a best mountain view. Room spacious. I love it. Hope the construction around the area be done soon. It will be much better.

GGuest UserWe book for 2 night stay here and extend for one more night. We really love the ambient of the hotel. They had a small beautiful yard/ garden welcoming you to the hotel. You even get free flow of mineral water and can borrow their cowboy hats. Haha
Our room comes with one stand heater, warm blanket and air conditioner ( can set until 30•C). Enough to warm both of us. Shangrila is quite cold compared to other city we visited in Yunan. The location really strategic. Walking distance to East gate of Dukezong City where scenic bus station located and not far from Dufeng Prayer Wheel. If you take bus from Tina, the first stop at Shangri-La city only walking distance to the hotel. If you take DiDi, the car can send you to the hotel without much walking. Within 500m, you can find 4 halal restaurants. If you want to go to Xiangyang farm product market (you can find halal bakery here) it’s just 1 km walk. Along the walk, you can find a local park with clear water and beautiful view.
Owner very helpful. Despite the language barrier, he tried all he can to help us. We planned to go to Balagezong on second day but really clueless since not much information on the internet. Mostly people went there via travel agency. With his help, we manage to secure ticket to the national park. He and his wife even walk us to the bus station where we need to catch the bus the next early morning.
On the last day here, owner even offered to send us to the railway station. On the way to the station, he stopped by a ******* restaurant and get us some delicious warm yak milk and ghee tea (we should try earlier. This one very delicious 🤤). That’s really generous of him. If we were coming back to Shangrila again, we would book this hotel again without doubt.

CChinPK05This is the great place to stay. They have oxygen generator, air humidifier, heater, as well as electric banklet. These will help you get well sleep during a chill night, especially electric banklet. There is a complementary round-trip train station transfer. Breakfast is nice.

WWohenmei*3This was my first trip to Shangri-La, and when choosing a hotel, beyond location, an oxygen-supplied room was a must-have. Choosing this place turned out to be absolutely the right decision! They offer both ambient oxygen enrichment and personal nasal oxygen tubes, which really helped alleviate symptoms for companions suffering from altitude sickness.
The service here was also the best throughout my entire Yunnan trip. Before check-in, they set up a dedicated customer group chat where service was available until midnight, and any requests were promptly addressed. Both at check-in and check-out, they proactively assisted with our luggage, even helping us load it into the car. A huge thank you to them!
The location is excellent, very close to the ancient town. It's super convenient for shopping, ordering delivery, and hailing taxis.

AArne 王帅One of the best hotel experiences I had so far in China. Super friendly and helpful hosts, very open and inviting. The room was cute, everything as needed, I slept perfectly.
When I got up super early they still made me nice Chinese breakfast with porridge, corn, ******* fried bread with honey and eggs.
They were helpful in planning my hikes, getting back to the bus station on time, and let me sit with them and have chitchats.
Next time I come to the area I will make sure to stop by again.

GGuest UserWonderful place to start the Upper gorge trail. I was able to book a Didi to take me from Lijiang to Naxi GH, driver was really helpful and stopped at the ticket centre on the way. Guesthouse is ideal place to start the trek, the trail from Naxi to Tea Horse isn’t very busy (after that all the day trip hikers join the trail). Mountain view rooms are totally worth it for the view (one of the best views on the entire trail). But if you don’t want to spend the money, the roof terrace is equally amazing. The owners are very friendly, relaxed and helpful, food is tasty and cheap.

KKatieHLovely hotel in the quieter area of Dukezong Ancient Town. Staff were very friendly, room was extremely large and clean and it had a beautiful view overlooking all the rooftops of the town and even the giant prayer wheel. I would definitely recommend staying here. We visited in winter and the heating was also very good. We hope to return one day.

PPongnarin LeelaumpikulFor foreigners, it might be difficult to find the right building because the sign board shows as ”Liudeng Innl”. However, it is easy to get here from the train station by bus #7 and taxi. The owner and wife are friendly and helpful. Even I comes to bother their dinner, they ask me to join and help me immediately. The room #928 is hugh and clean. Beds are firm and comfortable. They comes with elctronic blankets. Moreover, there is a movable heater which is really useful in the freezing night. Surprisingly, I can see the landmark of the Big Praying Wheel from the window of my bathroom. One thing annoying me is that shower is diificult to control between hot and cold water. I need only warm water but it always swing between very hot and cold every 10-15 seconds.
I ask the owner to book a taxi for my early check-out to get the bus to Yading. He kindly offers me a free pick-up by his car. Thank you very much.
Noted: Many restaurants nearby and easy to access Shangri-La Dukezong Ancient City and Daguishan Park.
