We had the most wonderful time on Inishbofin and in Murray's Doonmore Hotel in particular. From the moment we were picked up by Andrew from the ferry to the moment we were dropped back we were treated to a 5+ star hospitality treatment. From the owners, Andrew & Donna, to the staff, all of whom were so helpful and friendly, to the room with its spectacular sea views, to the exceptional food menu and to the bar with great music and chats. If you want to experience hospitality at its finest then we couldn't recommend Murray's highly enough. Do yourself a favour and book in for a few nights. You wont regret it. And we'll certainly be back next year.

This was our 4th time visiting Bofin & the 4 th time staying at the Doonmore. It just never lets you down & well done Andrew & Donna on the impressive refurbishment of the bedrooms & restaurant. Your expenditure on the hotel will surely be well rewarded.The food as ever was wonderful & there is just this something special about the atmosphere around the place .A lovely place to work and you would know it from the way you are looked after. Well done to everyone.

A group of 25 of us stayed for two nights and everyone spoke so highly of the accommodation, the food, and the helpfulness of all the staff. Andrew & Donna arranged our collection to and from the ferry. Their prior communication and organisation made everything run so smoothly. We will certainly be back again and many of the group spoke of return visits with their own family. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Arrived in the middle of a storm but straight away on the pier received a warm welcome by Andrew the proprietor who bused us to the hotel in torrential rain! Much appreciated! The hotel has recently been revamped and the money has been really well spent on the bedrooms which are really comfortable and spotlessly clean, as is the rest of the hotel. The storm confined us to the hotel for the first 24 hours and we were very well looked after by the attentive and considerate staff throughout the hotel. In conversation with Andrew, he says that he spends a lot of time in the closed season selecting the right staff and this effort clearly pays off - couldn't speak highly enough about their efficiency and friendliness. There is a lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel, the food was excellent and the bar jumped to trad music on both nights of our stay - there was a Traditional Music Festival on the island over the weekend. Thanks to Donna , Andrew and all the staff for a memorable stay - will definitely recommend and will definitely be back!!

We experienced great efficiency, warmth and friendliness at this hotel. Standards are taken seriously and it's obvious that every staff member buys into the ethos. The restaurant food is delicious and at a consistent standard. Congratulations to the owners for running such an excellent hotel on such a beautiful island.

Just back from two wonderful nights in Doonmore Hotel. Have been coming to this Hotel since early 70’s and always loved my time there. Wonderful to see the tasteful refurbishment of the hotel in last two years - so warm and welcoming. Thank you to Aileen, Andrew, Donna and all the staff for your efficiency and kindness.

We have just left Inishbofin after a 3 day stay. Have been visiting there for over 35 years and stayed many times at the Doonmore Hotel. The experience has always been excellent, but this year was exceptional. Why? Because they have reinvested in the business with stylish upgraded bedrooms, a new entrance and reception, a refurbished residents area, and a new restaurant layout. The food is always superb, the music sessions are great craic, the staff are always busy and friendly - making sure customers get their attention. Andrew, Aileen and Donna run a tight ship, and it shows. Looking forward to going back!
