Hotel - Gasthof Zum Anker

nice family-run hotel with a good Bavarian restaurant. The room was simple but clean and fairly recently renovated.

Small, pleasant, family-run hotel, which in my case impresses with its close proximity to the theater. The hotel's restaurant is also very cozy and brings the inn to life in the evenings. Unfortunately, the restaurant often closes very early (understandably, probably depending on the number of visitors). It is not always possible to stop in after the theater, although I would not expect any more food (it is available until 9 p.m. - wonderful!), but just the opportunity to chat with friends over a drink. The rooms (I got to know two) are relatively large with well-thought-out furnishings and a TV that is almost too big, which requires a certain distance that is not always possible. The bathroom with a spacious, open shower has two lighting options, one central and one on the mirror. The LED mirror lighting is actually intended as permanent lighting, as it has a digitally displayed time display. In one room it was linked to the central bathroom lighting, i.e. the time setting I had been so proud of was irreversibly lost every time I turned off the lights. In the other room it could be set permanently without having to turn on the ventilation fan. What was striking was the friendly atmosphere and the extremely friendly staff, from reception to room service! All requests were dealt with immediately without any problems. WiFi worked perfectly without a password! A hotel that I would happily return to.

Unfortunately just ok. We spent a night in the hotel as a family. When we arrived we met for coffee. Unfortunately, there was a small mishap on the employee's part, which can always happen and wasn't serious. We then asked if we could get another pancake soup for our 2 year old daughter. They said no, the kitchen is closed. Which would have taken 5 minutes. But OK. The rooms are very clean, but for the price per night you would expect at least a bottle of water in the room. Unfortunately there wasn't much choice for breakfast either. There are also no parking facilities. It's a disgrace to charge such an overpriced price for a room without a refrigerator. Unfortunately, that doesn't match the price performance at all. Therefore never again!
