"Practical location, but disappointing breakfast and service
We stayed here the night before an early morning flight, and the location couldn’t be more convenient – just a short walk to the terminal. The rooms are clean and functionally furnished. However, the staff could be more welcoming; the service feels very transactional, as if guests are just passing through.
What really disappointed us was the breakfast. While it’s a paid extra, the early breakfast offering (from 4 AM) was extremely minimal – even less than what you’d expect from a basic Holiday Inn Express. It felt like cost-saving was the main priority, not guest satisfaction.
A convenient place to sleep before a flight, but don’t expect much beyond that."
"A little bit chaotic upon arrival (after easily parking our rental car it must be said) this due to some sort of issues that both parties ahead of us in the queue were experiencing with their reservations. The room was good, a long way from the lift vestibule which is how we like it and adjacent to a fire escape, again, how we like it. We went down to get an early evening meal and found this to be the only real negative of the hotel offering. If you like Mac cheese, burgers, pulled beef and pizza you'll be fine but just 10 hours prior to long heal flights, the choices just don't seem very appropriate. A range of pasta dishes, a salad selection or even a range of 'light bites' would be preferable. We walked along to the Sainsbury's at the airport and bought our supper from there, all in for 16 quid - what's not to like?
The room was comfortable, easily temperature controlled on a warm and balmy night and has a decent smart TV, good bed and bedding and a small but very usable shower room with wc.
Bar the food offering, this Moxy is a winner."
"Had booked one night to stay before flying on holiday early on 24th January. Unfortunately that was when Storm Eowyn decided to arrive and so all flights were cancelled. We slept very well, extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Because all flights were off, it meant that pretty much every hotel guest arrived for breakfast at the same time, and so although the kitchen staff did an amazing job, they were struggling to cope with keeping the hot foods stocked and getting the crockery and cutlery replenished. The housekeeping staff were also helping out and we have to give the staff top marks for keeping everything running in such abnormal circumstances. The power supply went off in the early afternoon and the kitchen obviously had to close but the staff were good enough to make me a sandwich when my glucose levels were dropping (type 1 diabetic) which I really appreciated.
So, for the IHG management - you have an amazing team at the Holiday Inn Express, Edinburgh Airport. We will certainly be back and will definitely recommend."
"The check-in was straightforward and we used express checkout to leave. Our room was good. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed our food, which was fairly priced for this type of hotel at the airport. It was fairly easy for us to walk to the airport straight from the hotel and any reasonably fit person should be able to drag large cases that distance. All was well and we enjoyed our stay."
"The hotel was lovely and in a convenient location. We only stayed for one night but managed to make use of the wonderful spa and gorgeous breakfast. The spa staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating to all our needs. It is easy to get into Edinburgh City Centre either by use of the Park and Ride (10 mins away) or drive in (30 mins). If you book, make sure you add on the breakfast, you will not be disappointed!"

"Great location near the airport, 5 minute walk to gyle center Tram and 10 minute walk to edinburgh gateway rail station.
The breakfast was also good although I would have preferred some eggs.
The great thing is that the bar is open 24/7"
"There are two Premier inn at the airport, reminding everyone not to run wrong when searching for maps (like me...). The hotel is around the airport. It is quite convenient to drive to the airport in the morning to return the car, but if you want to go to BP to refuel and then return the car to remind everyone to leave early because of the early peak of the turntable of M9. A bit traffic jam. Hotel parking is not free, one night 7-8 pounds, there is a self-service payment machine before entering the hotel (the wrong hotel to pay the parking fee twice). The little brother of the hotel bar is very nice! ! Super action is also talkative!"
"We stayed three nights here and found it convenient—about 10 minutes by car to the airport and 30 minutes by bus to the old town (£3.50 one way). The room was spacious enough for our family of four, though the bathroom was a bit small and dated. Free chilled still and sparkling water was a nice touch. We stayed in July, and the hotel was busy with tourists and flight crews. They kindly stored our large luggage while we visited the Highlands, which was super helpful. We’d recommend this hotel for families."
"This is a great place to stay. It isn’t directly in the city centre, but it is right next to the tram which takes you to the airport and city. You can see the tram line from the hotel and it was probably a 5 minute walk maximum. There is a retail park nearby with a supermarket too. The pool/sauna/steam room were an added bonus. Was quiet and staff were friendly."
