A fantastic day. Cottages were clean, cosy and I slept like a log and Angie was really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend to anyone and certainly would stay again. A great rest, Thanks, Angie for all your good work.

The Byre , Yarm. Booked this awful little cottage for a one night stay for myself and family in September and we are still having nightmares about it now. We were originally booked in to the Farmers Cottage but due to some issues with the electrics we were Upgraded to what we now refer to as "The Cottage From Hell". Upon arrival we first of all noticed the outside furniture which was only fit for the skip. We entered the cottage and tried to login to the Wi-Fi but it wouldn't connect, After asking at reception about this we were told that we had to go out of the door and walk 20 yards to the left and login by the wall. Of course it logged out when we went back to the room! The decor can only be described as depressing and most of the furnishings were made from old wooden pallets. Not impressed at all. The shower was an absolute joke and My Uncle Ric was literally attacked by the shower head after turning it on. The mirror showed my chin only and the outside rear furniture was more pallets knocked together and some nasty plastic chairs. Not good enough for the money we payed (£150) and will never stay there again. On a positive note the pub next door ( Fox Covert)was fantastic and well worth a visit.

The cottage was like a hovel, ruined a lovely weekend . We went for a 60th birthday party, which was fabulous ruined by this dump Over priced , no internet. Turned the so called shower on and it flew off the wall and attacked me. Blinds broken, most off the repairs done with old pallets . , main light switch in shared lobby before entering cottage

Looked nice from outside. Angie was a friendly host. When we checked into our room I was so disappointed. It wasn't clean at all. Really old bed but fair to say I slept well. Glad it was for only 1 night. We paid £90. Was probably worth £45 max for night. The fox covert pub next door was brilliant. Had breakfast there. Well worth going to it. Was so tempted to sleep in car. Cottage was awful. Walls are so thin. Sorry but I really don't know how they can justify £90 a night. Disgusting.

Booked as a little overnight stay with the dogs, lovely little location with all amenities needed. The cottage itself was dead quaint and quirky and we had a lovely nights sleep in the comfy bed. Hostess Angie was pleasant and welcoming and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Right next door to the Fox Covert pub who served lovely home cooked food, hopefully we have 2 sleepy dogs on the journey home. I would definitely recommend the Paddock for a stay when visiting Yarm and nearby Whitby

A very sad place, looked promising online, thought it would be a bit of a change from chain hotels even though more expensive. Dispappointing to say the least, overall very untidy and looks scruffy from the outside. Once inside it is much the same. The room I was in had a strange pallet wall affair that seem to be hiding all sorts of things. The small bar (? why?) in the room had a mixture of not very nice looking glasses. You could feel the springs on the uncomfortable bed. The shower room was just odd but at least the shower worked. Did not feel secure with windows open as they were right on the road so got no air in the room. It all just felt dirty and scruffy so could not recommend at all. Oh and the wifi doesn't work. They need to do a lot to this place to make it more welcoming.

Had a lovely stay at Yarm Cottages. The cottage we stayed in was quirky, warm & clean & had everything we needed. It is in a fabulous location with the countryside & seaside all within 30 mins drive. Angie, the owner was very friendly & informative of the area, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend a stay in one of the cottages.
