Inawashiro Kanko Hotel

It has been seven years since I first used this hotel as a place to stay for ski group training. Even though the training venue moved to another ski resort a few years ago, I still use this hotel in the winter because it is right next to the ski resort and the price is reasonable. The food is not delicious, so I only stay overnight. The rooms are spacious and have a good view, either on the mountain side (where you can see the fireworks) or on the Lake Inawashiro side. I like the large bath because it is a hot spring. The building is old and it can't be helped considering the recent economic situation, but I think they are working hard in many ways. The only thing that is depressing when using this hotel is that the door between the women's large bath and the changing room has been broken for seven years. At first it was just heavy, but last year it finally stopped closing. There is a mat at the foot of the door, but water always accumulates. It feels very dirty. This has been the same for seven years. These days I try to step over it to enter. The elevator is slow, so patience is required.

It's a fairly old hotel, but the food is filling and satisfying. The only things I noticed were that the futon was hard, there was no open-air bath, and there were no shops nearby. However, it's cheap, so I recommend it.
