Pelham Hotel

The Pelham Hotel was a pleasant surprise! As a solo traveler, I appreciated the friendly staff and the cozy, clean room. While the location isn't in the heart of a bustling city, it's perfect for a quiet getaway. The on-site pub was a great spot to unwind after a long day. It might not be a five-star luxury, but for a comfortable and affordable stay, the Pelham Hotel definitely hits the mark!

Stayed here with my girlfriend. It's clean, basic and ideal for the shops. Loved it so much we stayed an extra night and have booked another night later in the month.

Formal Complaint and Refund Request – Pelham Hotel I arrived at the hotel at around 10:00 PM after a five-hour drive, needing a few hours of sleep before an early start for work at 5:30 AM. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Soon after checking in, I discovered that extremely loud music was coming from the floor below. When I approached the reception, I was told that the hotel only has two floors and that the first floor functions as a pub and disco on Friday nights. I requested to change my room to avoid the disturbance, but I was told this was not possible. Despite my efforts to tolerate the noise, it only became louder and made it impossible to sleep. I returned to the reception around 1:00 AM to express my concerns again, but no solution was offered. Feeling helpless and exhausted, I decided to leave the hotel and sleep in my car. This experience left me cold, sleep-deprived, and extremely unwell for work the following day. This level of discomfort and lack of basic hospitality is unacceptable. Guests should be informed at the time of booking that loud music and disturbances are expected on certain nights. Had I known this in advance, I would never have booked the hotel. I respectfully request a full refund for this night’s stay, as the hotel failed to provide the basic service of a peaceful environment for rest.

I stayed here for 4 nights while working in the area as it was close to work and a good price, I had a few concerns about arriving at the hotel due to previous reviews I had seen, I absolutely loved this place the room was clean and nice and warm, it had plenty of tea and coffee available. The check in was straight forward with a nice welcome from the staff they were very helpful when asked about about different places in the area to go for food. I visited the pub for a few drinks during my stay and found the locals and bar staff were very friendly and made me feel right at home, I will 100% be staying here again when I am back in the area. Not bad. Free parking. Attached shower and toilet with hot water. Heating was good. Need to improve the bed and pillows. Winter price £41 is good price for a double size room.
