Friends and I stayed here one night after finishing the Shimanami Kaido. It was no luxury hotel, but it was clean, neat, and comfortable. Location was in a part of town that frankly felt a bit run down, but we never felt unsafe, and it is in fact located very close to the centre of down, and just a 15 minute walk from Imabari train station. The manager doesn't work on site, so when you make your booking, you have to indicate what time you arrive so they'll come down to check you in. Otherwise, you'll have to drop them a message, or give them a call. You have access to the building's rooftop deck, which offers truly excellent views of the islands to the north, the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, and Imabari Castle. For the price, you really couldn't ask for much more.
