The front of house service was good. The starters were good. The main course was disappointing due to thick brown glutinous gravity spread over the meal. The mashed potatoes were dry. The desert course was fine We have been for Xmas lunch on two previous occasions when the meal was excellent

Visited with friends mid week, mid day. Booked a table online. However it was not required. The restaurant area is quite welcoming with a wood burning stove . Making the area nice and warm. Starters of Halloumi chips and Calamari were very tasty and served warm. The mains were 2 x Italian Chicken which was presented nicely on a wooden plate. There was a Vegetable Moussaka, although my wife is not vegetarian. She said it was very tasty and another clear plate. I had the lamb rump. I was not asked how I wanted it. But I take this that it is cooked how Chef wants it served. It was medium rare and just how I like it. The taste was beautiful. We finished off with coffee and a very satisfying dining experience.

Came in for few Friday drinks. The young girls are lovely - smiley, welcoming & really chatty. Didn’t eat but come to dine regularly and the food is consistently brilliant. However, a new manager I didn’t recognise was miserable as sin, she didn’t smile once. I found her rude and cold. This is such a shame as the other girls are so lovely, this lets the side down.

You're in a pub, so it's not going to be the quietest place in the world before midnight - but that's because you're in a pub. Think of the benefits! There's literally a pub downstairs! And it's a good one. Friendly, with a buzzy restaurant with great food, some outdoor space and a keen staff. Dinners are a good mix - from burgers to laksa - and breakfast works well, although they let the chefs blast loud music from the kitchen while also playing music in the restaurant next to it, so it's a confusing mix of sounds. Pick one or the other. The friendly staff could do with a few pointers from their bosses - make sure there are bowls to put cereal in, make sure there is cutlery to eat with - but these are small asks, because how hard is it to ask for them? My room was big, with a very comfortable bed and great pillows, and once the pub regulars left everything was pretty quiet and I had a good sleep. I never stay in pubs

Amazing After Eight Cheesecake with white chocolate ice cream. Just delicious, every mouthful, great yummyness. Presentation spectacular, a tower of delight. That was dessert. The Nachos starter was incredible and the 3 plates of tapas cooked to perfection especially the lamb.

Had Sunday lunch here with friends. Friendly and attentive service. Well kept ale High quality food beautifully cooked and well presented. Not cheap but reasonable prices for the quality of food and service delivered. Would recommend. We’ve booked again for Christmas Day.

This great local pub delivers fantastic food every time without fail. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff to ensure your visit is a five star experience, always a friendly atmosphere 😀. They stock an excellent selection of wines and beers and we are always pleasantly surprised when the bill arrives.
