Upon arrival, we were greeted with a completely full car park, forcing us to park on the street and pay for the privilege, which was an unwelcome start to my stay. The check-in process was uneventful, but that was the only positive aspect of my experience; the room bore no resemblance to the enticing photos advertised online whatsoever. Small and cramped. The view from our room was so dismal that we might as well have boarded up the window, as it offered nothing but a bleak outlook. The floors creaked incessantly, allowing us to hear every door slam and every conversation from neighboring rooms, making it impossible to find any peace or quiet. To top it all off, the heating was cranked up all night, leaving us to wake up drenched in sweat, as it seemed the hotel keeps the heating on all night else there would be no hot water. I would have preferred to camp with the drug users across the street instead.
