This Bed and Breakfast was lovely, we received a warm welcome by the owners, we arrived late in the day but this wasn’t a problem to them. The room was delightful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, sweetener was appreciated! The breakfast was served in the bright conservatory and was superb, we were asked the night before if we had any dietary requirements to ensure our breakfast was served in good time the next morning, this was a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

What can I say? Having run my own - quality inspected - guest house, managed two and operated at all accommodation levels, I can honestly say that this is one, if not the best guest house in which, I have ever stayed. Wonderful decor, superbly clean and comfortable and a delicious well-cooked breakfast, can be enjoyed, here. The decor is great: light and airy, with a modern seasideish theme throughout this lovely, imposing, Victorian property. Just to add, I am looking forward, to staying again! Thank you, so much. Honestly the comfiest bed I’ve slept in, the place was beautiful and clean and I loved the shower. Really lovely friendly lady Margaret, couldn’t do enough to help and was so attentive. The breakfast 10/10, perfect eggs and fresh mushrooms ( hate tinned ones ) Will definitely stay again

Just spent a week there. Awesome. Spotless and comfortable. Breakfast abundant and delicious. Juice, cereales, porridge sausage and bacon and not a drop of grease on plate. Owners kind, friendly and helpful. A must if you are in the beautiful area of North Devon.

We have passed this place numerous times on our journey from Woolacombe to Ilfracombe but never really took much notice of it.However, we needed a one night(Friday) stay in October 2023 for three of us and needed two rooms so we searched trip advisor and Cairn House was available.It is a really lovely house, full of character and made better with the warm welcome from our host Margaret and her staff.The rooms were cosy, warm,spotless clean and the views were wonderful.Breakfast was wholesome and filling and we weren't rushed.We walked down to the town(approx 15mins) and noticed that Ilfracombe Rugby Club had their annual bonfire and fireworks event so we went along and it was really lovely, the firework display being the best we've seen in ages and it was very well organised.All in all Cairn House was a great place to stay and not over priced either.

We stayed at Cairn House for 3 nights as a family of 4 in room 8. We honestly could not fault this place. The owners are lovely and friendly, really lovely people. I didn’t want to come home! Our room was a quadruple room on the top floor. Beautifully decorated, very clean, comfy beds and a sofa by the window where there is a beautiful view of bicclescomb park. A HUGE tv and a nice clean bathroom with a powerful shower over a good sized bath. Tea and coffee were topped up every day. Also has an air con unit!! Massive bonus in a top floor room. Breakfast was lovely and Margaret remembered what we liked and was served hot and quickly. The honesty bar was great! Soft drinks, beers, ciders, wine, Prosecco, snacks to name a few. Just take what you like and write it down and pay at the end of your stay, there is also a small ice machine and proper glasses for wine, pints and Prosecco. So close to Ilfracombe harbour and 10 minutes from woolacombe where the beach is just lovely. I can highly recommend The Depot just up the road from Cairn House for an evening meal, the tacos were amazing! All in all I just loved this place and will almost certainly be back! Don’t hesitate to book Cairn House.

Amazing hosts nothing too much trouble so helfu and kind Spotlessly clean superb breakfast Beautifully decorated very welcoming and room 2 perfect Margaret and Nick go out of their way to help and are very professional in their work We are late risers and they even asked when we were late for breakfast if they could give us something to eat very friendly and every thing was perfect Thankyou for making our stay so special

Me and my wife stayed at Cairn House recently and we left amazed with how great and friendly the owners were. The room and food were all great too. It was within walking distance of the harbour too. We will definitely be returning!!
