Somerset really is the best place in the UK. This Lovely little getaway stay for New Year’s Eve with friends was perfect. Northover and all the staff were super helpful and lovely. Comfortable beds as well!! So much space to hang out and walk around. Will be returning soon!

A wonderful family run hotel that has lovely clean rooms and a great bar/restaurant, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The staff are so kind and welcoming, and go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend. Thank you! ❤️

I had a lovely, cosy room. Very warm and cosy bed with soft pillows. Glad I set my alarm for 9am or I could have slept all morning! Lovely big shower in the bathroom too. I didn't use the restaurant or bar, but it smelled delicious. Set in lovely grounds and with a lovely garden too, I can see why it's popular for weddings.

Warm welcome, attentive service, clean and comfortable room, sumptuous breakfast, good value evening meal, pleasant and convenient location. What’s not to like?! We would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay, and would have been happy to stay for longer.

We visited as we were in the area to go to the Royal Navy Air Museum 5 minutes away. Location is central to a number of interesting towns and attractions so is excellent for visiting the area. The room was spacious with large bathroom, all very clean and comfortable. We ate in the dining room both nights and all meals were very well presented and enjoyable, that goes for starters, mains and sweets. Very nice. I note someone else commented on size of breakfast and I have to agree that they were a bit on the small size but served hot and, again , good quality produce and tasty. Staff all professional and friendly, we spent about 30 mins in bar after meal chatting to staff (it was a quiet evening) and learning about local area. Will be visiting again and look forward to it.

I stayed here for four nights whilst in the area and had a pleasant and comfortable stay. The twin room had plenty of space and was very clean with everything working, although a little tired. The shower was excellent and staying in a room with a window to the back of the hotel there was no traffic noise. Tea and coffee were topped up daily and the cleaners did an excellent job. Very comfortable beds too and overall I found the room cosy and nice to stay in. WiFi worked very well. Breakfast was good, we had one meal at the hotel and whilst the food was really nice it took a very long time to arrive but that was the only negative. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it’s a 5 minute walk to pubs and an excellent Italian restaurant that was recommended to us by one of the staff. I’d recommend this as a good place to stay.

Nice enough place, good size room, comfy bed and decent parking. Only slight negative was the size of the full English breakfast, more like a childs portion than an adults, which was a shame as the ingredients and quality were great. Also breakfast window on a Sunday was 8.30 to 9am, which didn't leave much time for a lay in after a late night. The Manager was a bit grouchy and not overly friendly.
