A very nice home stay style of house, I think if you want to relax and unwind from the city life this hotel if great. The private bath aka sauna is amazing. Went hiking and walking for 3 long days and after that bath I felt great. Definitely worth a visit and stay!!!

I wanted to go to the nearby mountains, and it was difficult to find a place to stay in Osaka or Kyoto on the weekend. There is also a hiking course, but the schedule was changed due to physical strength and weather on the day.
I arrived in the afternoon and left in the morning, so it was different from the plan,

I use a train to go to the accommodation, but the transportation cost was expensive, and there were no convenience stores or restaurants open in the evening, so I walked down to Ikoma Station, but I think it took 30 to 40 minutes by stairs (on my knees).
It's good to eat beforehand and go shopping.
The accommodation is also on a high place, so the view is good, and the hot springs are good because you can reserve one hour per room.

The owner is super cute and speaks very good English! We were only there for one night, but I wish we had stayed longer. The hotel is old and traditional, but the room is comfortable and has all the amenities you'd need. One of the best parts is that there is a private onsen inside. The views from the room and onsen were incredible, overlooking all of the town below and the nature around. Breakfast was also included, and tasted great!
The town around is also very beautiful, and really quiet considering it's so close to both Osaka and Nara. Taking a walk to the nearby shrine is a must if staying here. It is worth noting that you have to take the cable car up from Ikoma Station.

Although it was an old facility, it was kept clean. I also enjoyed breakfast. However, I couldn't see the night view because it was on the lowest floor, and the Wi-Fi signal was weak. When I searched the route on Google Maps from afar, it led me to a strange toll road, so I had to pay 350 yen one way and wander the mountain path. After getting off the highway, you can find an easier route by searching for free roads in Nara City.
