Personnel was very friendly, good wibes! Breakfast was exellent: local and seasonal delicates. Historical atmosphere, paintings in dining room. Room (for two with sauna) and bathroom was quite small, but beautiful, quit and very clean.

We stayed at this lovely and quiet hotel for four days. It is best situated for people who travel by train as it is near the railway station. The staff was very friendly and helped us with all of our questions. The breakfast was tasty and nicely displayed. We also had two evening meals in the hotel which were varied and fresh. The only downside was the limited offer of vegetarian meals, but then this is somehow what we experienced all over in Finland. The day of our departure we were even given the opportunity to make ourselves a sandwich for the trip ahead and take whatever we wanted from the buffet. This was a generous gesture and was very much appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay in Iisalmi which we liked a lot!

Meeting place for karelian and ortodox culture in Iisalmi. Extraordinary. Delicious food, local twist, friendly personnel. Paintings on the wall tell stories from bible but meantime you can enjoy your diner with well chosen wines beside the courgeous glasspainting. Place to see.

Visited Iisalmi for work. I stayed at the Golden Dome Hotel for almost 2 weeks and couldn’t fault it. This stay is winter time. Room was perfect temperature. I could open a window if needed. Bed comfortable. Shower hot. Breakfast as part of room rate was really good with plenty of variety. Restaurant quality food each night. I tried quite a few different restaurants with work colleagues and the Golden Dome restaurant was equal to anything. Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to everything yet in a quiet location. Interesting building as it’s a converted church I think. Amazing paintwork on walls of main hall and led light windows. Clean. Well maintained. If I return again for work there will be no question as to where I’d stay. Thanks staff of Golden Dome…great job.

This hotel was very nice. Not a chain hotel so it had unique twist. Customer service was excellent. Rooms are quite new and clean but very small. There also is not much soundproofing so hope you do not get noisy people next door. Location was great. It is middle of the town but it is very small and quiet town so really no traffic noise or parking problems. Breakfast was very good and had some really tasty homemade bakings included. Also tried the restaurant in the evening and it was great too with very orignal decoration in the dining hall. Despite what some other review say here, the hotel had an elevator.
