Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort Crete Curio Collection by Hilton

We had an amazing time at the Numo Ierapetra and can fully recommend it. The hotel design is very esthetic with different areas to choose from, like a beach-club-like pool with DJ or a silent pool to relax. We also loved the private beach. Breakfast was great as well, very fresh, big variety and nice seating area. Our highlight was the gym with an amzing trainer couple - they are very passionate and skilled and offer a big variety of complimentary classes (Yoga, TRX, Functional Training). Our room was nice and spacious, maybe a bit dark, but we felt very comfortable. Massages are pricey but one of the best ones we ever had. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back!

Great resort situated 90mins from airport. Well appointed bedrooms, we had an 2 bed anpartment with plunge pool. There are 2 excellents pool / one combined with the beach area and excellent pool bar. Stayed for 2 weeks with our children (20/22). Enjoyed chilling by the day in the shade of the lovely trees alongside the pool and beach. They have some great staff who make your stay very welcoming. Daniel & Manos in particlur make the best cocktails (try the G&T or Singapore Sling Manos created with a twist) and Yulia who ensured we were always looked after so well. Lia in the restaurant soon got to know the family and welcomed us every morning for breakfast which is an unfathomable feast. Not least, Fay in the spa who gives the best massage experience - more of a journey. You can’t ask for more from staff like these lovely people and fo course the invisible staff who kept the resort immaculate in the early mornings. When we weren’t using the training facilities or at yoga, the days had a hedonistic feel thanks to the music from the fabulous resident DJ who we now follow. Lots of restaurants close by means you are within 10 minutes of some great local cuisine, the daily catch being perfectly grilled. The local town has resident turtles that swim around the marina and beach area making it very special. Get up early if you want to beat the Germans bagging the beach loungers!

I had the most wonderful stay at the Numo Ierapetra! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. It has stunning architecture and landscaping everywhere you turn. The main pool is amazing and overlooks a black sand beach that is just as luxurious and enjoyable. While the windy days were quite windy, I stayed long enough to experience some calm days which really showcased this ideal and pristine location. So I highly recommend staying a week so that your experience extends beyond the two or three windy days that occur per week (during this time of year), as I was told by staff. The town of Ierapetra is charming in an old world way. It is authentically local and not full of tourists like some of the other cities. It’s only a 10 minute taxi ride away and has lots of restaurants. Back to the Numo - the staff are all wonderful. Mostly everybody speaks some English, some better than others. The food overall was very good, especially lunch at the pool/beach/or restaurant… I wasn’t crazy about the buffet only breakfast and dinner, but it inspired me to eat more heathfully. I really got a sense for how the Mediterranean diet can improve wellbeing. Together with the fitness center and the wonderful trainer, Petros, this experience became more of a retreat than just a beach vacay. And, the outdoor movie theater was a wonderful bonus in the evening! I highly recommend this fabulous hotel and trip to Crete!!!! The Cretan people are exceptionally gracious and lovely!

Sometimes it feels 1 star reviews are quite overexaggerated but I have to begin this one by saying that honestly Hilton Numo Ierapetra was probably the worst hotel experience we've had in the last decade. We were actually quite excited checking in as the grounds look pretty in the pictures, unfortunately it is just a façade which was quickly revealed through severe lack of service and basic features that are bare minimums for any 4 or 5 star hotel. The below list is only what we discovered staying just over 24 hours in the hotel. In the end we were so disappointed in so many ways that we had to check out early as it didn't feel like a holiday any longer - instead just admin managing the many issues. The front office manager Miltos also lied to our faces promising to compensate our poor experience by refunding 3 out of 4 nights that we didn't stay - something that turned out to be a lie when he completely backtracked this when we had left - we were absolutely deceived. The issues we experienced were the following: 1) When we came late in the evening to check in we had booked a "Evergreen retreat with terrace" which was supposed to be situated around a quiet courtyard pool surrounded by trees and other greenery and with a sizable terrace. However, without mentioning anything they had changed our room type which we only discovered when arriving at the room. It looked nothing like we booked, it was surrounded by walls and hard surfaces - it really felt like a bunker. When we called to get it rectified they said it was an upgrade (it actually felt like a huge downgrade as it lacked the many unique features for which we had booked the other room ) and that they didn't have a single other room available. Our only comfort was that they would "try" to fix it the following morning. Because of the late hour we had no choice but to stay there but we felt deprived of the very reason we booked our room. A very bad start to our stay and it felt like our concerns were not taken very seriously. 2) On the 1st night we arrived late on the Sunday and we were quite hungry after check in. The restaurant was closing in less than an hour yet we were told there were no outside tables. Looking around there were probably a dozen tables free but they hadn't been cleared. We were asked to wait 10 minutes in the bar where we would be collected but nobody came to pick us up so we went back ourselves after almost half an hour and was finally shown a table. Again, it felt like a total lack of care, empty promises made with no apology when things were not delivered. 3) The atmosphere in the bar was hostile between the staff, I could tell that they were stressed as only 2 people served everyone. We waited 10-15 minutes to place the order which was delivered in around 5 more. Furthermore, the barman clearly gave the wrong advice on wines (the sommelier in the restaurant confirmed the opposite of what he said) - it felt like he just said something to not have to care about what

Great food and organisation, but serious concerns We recently stayed at this hotel and, while the food was absolutely delicious and everything seemed well-organised on the surface, we encountered two major issues that completely changed our opinion. 1. Theft from our room Unfortunately, two valuable personal items went missing from our room – a pair of sunglasses and two bracelets. I am absolutely certain that we did not misplace them – I have a very good memory and have never lost anything in my life. The items disappeared during our stay, most likely while the room was being cleaned, but the issue was dismissed without any proper response or investigation. 2. Deposit refund not returned We checked out on 7 July 2025, and as of 3 August, the 500 EUR deposit has still not been refunded. The hotel’s terms state that the deposit will be returned within two weeks. We followed up after three weeks, but there has been no reply at all to our email. Had we not chased them, I strongly believe they would have kept the money indefinitely. Even after sending a formal email, there is still no response. This level of disregard for guests and their money is unacceptable. It’s a real shame, because the hotel has potential, but these experiences left us feeling disrespected and ignored. Be aware before booking.

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Numo Ierapetra; such a romantic and relaxing time at this beautiful resort. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive and really take every extra effort to ensure that your stay is a memorable one; special thanks to Adriano, Vasillis and Georgios for being so marvelous and ensuring that we had a honeymoon that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. The food offered at the buffet at Tamarisk is of a wide variety, and incredibly tatsy and I highly recommend booking into Menoa for the a la carte experience, where your culinary eyes will be truly opened to new and exciting things. The Mare Mare poolside bar offers a relaxing and laid back experience which we relished every single day. Thank you all once again, we will be back in the years to come!
