Ragamaya Resort & Spa Munnar

Ragamaya resort although being in Rajakkad and not Munnar , which is 30km away happens to be one dl the best resorts in Idukki district with fantastic view of the Ponmudi reservoir from all rooms. The rooms are fabulous, large and has huge balconies overlooking the lake from the mountain top. The service of the staff is excellent although some of them dont understand english or hindi, but most of them are very courteous, friendly and always have a smile. The food is reasonably priced in their restaurant which has splendid views.

We have booked 3 rooms for 10 people including kids. Totally it was a good stay for us. The climate was also not a stiff cold but was a pleasant one and was really enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and have a good balcony view of the periyar river. The food they provided was also good and ala carte dishes were also good and reasonable. The morning buffet breakfast was very good. I loved the hot cheese dosa served. There is a small outdoor play area for kids. The swimming pool is not big but the view is as good as the infinity pool. The evening view on the seat on the back side of the swimming pool watching the sunset was very good. There are indoor activities like billards, carom board,table tennis etc which are good for spending time. In the morning they have a nature walk to the downside of the hill which gives us a small trucking type experience. The cycle ride was good but needed to be strong enough to ride on the slopes. Evening tea with hot snacks and night a camp fire set up was enjoyable. The staff are very friendly especially in the reception and restaurant.Overall we have a nice and pleasant stay at Ragamaya resort. The things we expected to be better was a wash room near the swimming pool and the crunch in the parking space during peak season time.

We had high expectations for our stay, but the experience was far from satisfying. The staff went out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Special thanks to Kiren she had give grand welcome and send off. The room was luxurious, offering breathtaking views of the serene lake and lush green surroundings. And the restaurant provides high quality service and tasty food. The high tea at every evening was a highlight with freshly cooked savoury items & good tea and coffee. I personally recommend this place for those who wish to take a break from their busy lives. A must visit relaxation place for the family.

We stayed for 2 nights and so sad only 2 nights. It's a beautiful cliff hanger property over looking A beautiful river and greens all around. The view is breath taking and you can sleep with the blinds open to have a damm good morning wake up to the sun and cool breeze. The Resort team are great and always welcoming and eager to help. Special mention to Jishnu (Who looked after our every needs ) and his restaurant manager who knows how to make conversation and look after his guests. We visited the Tea Gardens, did a off reading Jeep Trip, watched the Kerala Dance and Martial arts. If your interested to be 1 with nature, cycle in the morning with the cool breeze around you and just be at peace visit this place and have no regrets.

Beautiful location and the staff was friendly and attentive. receptionists were really helpful and friendly .The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the restaurant food was delicious.balcony view was one of the best parts of staying at the resort.

Situated Away from Munnar city this resort is for those who wants peace and calm. A Small resort very well maintained, neat and clean. Rooms: All rooms have a spectacular view of Ponmudi lake. Rooms are very spacious , clean and well maintained. Staff: Staff is very nice and cooperative. Outdoor: Infinity pool is very well maintained and have a very nice view. They have 2-3 swings for kids. Food Breakfast: They provide south Indian, north Indian and continental. So, u have mix of all. Lunch and dinner. They have Ala karte option which covers, good variety of south Indian, north Indian and continental food and all food prepared by them is yummy On our special request they have provided non spicy food for few of our foreign guests. Others: if you love to track then they arrange a nature walk in morning where the guid will take you for nature walk thru jungle to Ponmudi lake. recommended for old age peoples since its very steep way. Improvement points: Guests are not allowed to drink in garden. if any guest love to party, they don’t have space for that. I have stayed in other resorts of Kerala, but this was the first where u r not allowed to party openly. So if you are coming with big family and you love to drink and dance, then this place is not for you.
