Coach can't drop you into Hotel grounds, there is a bit of an hill of the high street to get to the Hotel, then lots of steps to get into the Hotel reception. Difficult in the heat, more difficult when lugging all your luggage and have children. Only two very small elevators to floors so you may wait a while. Hotel looks modern in the reception but rooms are dated, its clear its an old hotel. Room walls are paper thin, plus gaping holes hidden behind beds. You hear everything going on in adjacent rooms. You will also be disturbed by people in the rooms above, as well as from the hallways usually at around 2am. Bathroom is not private, there is a louvre door literally next to the toilet, it barely covers an open space/void leading to the bathroom next door. You will hear everything, like there are people in your bathroom. You will see into the next door bathroom particularly when the light is on. No privacy at all. The balcony door is single pane glass into a rotting wooden frame that rattles every time a door closes on the entire floor. It is impossible to open then impossible to close again. The balcony is small so you will wonder why you bothered to try to open the door in the first place. The only positive is the beds are comfortable. Food is basic, limited choice, tepid in temperature, (there is a microwave) the meat is never cooked properly which is a worry with consistent raw meat, chicken raw in the middle pork pink in the middle. The only positive is an ice cream machine, and the restaurant staff who are always polite and keep everywhere clean. Pool area has sun loungers but not enough parasols. Lots of groups of boys, and girls. Annoyingly not stopped from playing football around people trying to enjoy sun by the pool. Despite Reception staff telling you it is family hotel, I do not believe a child would find this Hotel comfortable. The Reception staff are officious, seem bemused when you tell them about the noise at night, they are clearly surprised that you do not already know this as they robotically tell you its an old hotel and are aware of the problems. They tell you to call reception when you are woken at night as security will deal with it as it is a 'family' hotel. They do not tolerate noisy people, but then say they cant control it either. The entertainment team are very talented and seem to help with everything, such a shame they are wasted in such a shoddy dated hotel, in I am afraid a shoddy area.
