We booked 4 rooms here for 2 nights for a family occasion happening nearby. John the landlord could not have been more helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Castle does not serve food but John recommended a place for an evening meal (and booked a table for us) and also for breakfast, we were not disappointed with either of his recommendations, both were excellent. The rooms are quite basic but spotlessly clean with drink making facilities and even a couple of tubs of porridge.

Friendly pub. Rooms are fine, clean and comfortable. Decent priced beer and welcoming locals. Road noise a tad bit loud and beer delivery woke me up but hey, it's a pub. Plenty of free parking near by but if you'd like your car nearer there's a few spaces down the side of the premises.

A lower-cost hotel and you get what you pay for. I had a large room (and large bathroom), but they were very sparsely furnished and in poor decorative condition. The single central light was rather dim during the evening, and the Window blinds were ill-fitting so let light in in the morning. Bed comfortable and a good night’s sleep, despite some noise from the road outside. Overall, reasonable value.

The Castle is a pub with rooms. Better than contractors lodgings but not a B & B. Plus sides. The room was cheap at £70 for 2 for one night. Centrally located. Spacious, en suite, warm and had a good wardrobe, TV and coffee/tea making facilities. Good shower. Very wide bed. Cons. No breakfast, parking is by way of a cul de SAC at the side of the pub. Bathroom is chilly. Bring your ear plugs as you will hear the cars and people very clearly in the road outside. No headboard on the bed.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Castle Hotel Accrington for a couple of days & really enjoyed it. Our room was bright & clean, comfy bed & tea & coffee & kettle supplied. The shower was good & the proprietor Jon was friendly & very helpful. Our room was at the front near a busy road junction so earplugs are recommended but apart from that a great hotel! Very close to Accrington, amenities & the railway.

Really friendly pub with rooms. Nice big spotlessly clean room, good shower and tea/coffee/porridge in room for a DIY breakfast. The landlord was very helpful recommending places to eat In town and it was just generally a really nice place to stay.
