Hôtel Almanarre Plage - Hôtel Eco-Responsable Face à la Mer

Stayed here 1 night as we made our way along the Coast. Pro's: 1) AC worked well and had no probelem cooling the room as it was very hot outside. 2) Breakfast was good for the price 3) Location is good for visiting the beach or Giens 4) Parking available Cons: 1) Nothing decent to eat within walking distance that I could find. 2) Weird smell emanating from the bathroom. Just kept the door closed and was manageable.

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Almanarre. We loved the relaxed holiday/beach vibe :-) Located right across the road from the beach, and many more beautiful beaches and sights in the area to discover! When we arrived, we were greeted by the owners who immediately made us feel welcome. They know the area very well and gave us excellent tips on visits, outings, restaurants... they even made a reservation for us. We loved the organic breakfast from local suppliers! The concept of the hotel - caring for the environment - was something we very much enjoyed. Our room was quite large and very clean. Secured parking on site definitely a plus. If we are ever back in the Hyères area, we will definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay at Hôtel Almanarre Plage. The hotel is right across the road from a small, quiet beach, and a few hundred metres from the biggger Almanarre beach. I had a wonderful time doing a bike excursion to the Giens peninsula, where I did a 3 hour walk in the nature reserve with absolutely stunning views! I very much appreciated all the eco-efforts of the hotel. They’ve done everything possible to optimise water and energy use and waste management, and use only eco-friendly products and resources. But they’ve also adopted measures to protect the environment that go beyond the hotel: they provide free bike rental to guests who arrive by train to promote sustainable transport, they provide lovely zero-waste picnics from local, organic ingredients for excursions, they are part of a fill-your-bottle scheme through which tourists can fill their water bottles at the hotel for free even if they are not guests, etc… Overall, it’s probably the most eco-friendly hotel I’ve ever been to! The staff were very friendly and helpful, including the owners who were on-site even on the weekend. A big thanks to the Hôtel Almanarre Plage team!

Really great place to stay. Looked after us brilliantly. Super friendly service and breakfast was outstanding - all bio and very healthy. Location is great and they really live their excellent environmental credentials. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Our stay was spectacular. The hotel is lovely and the staff are very considerate. They are happy to help with everything we needed. The breakfast is definitely worth it - so many yummy local treats! We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Nice little place with great service, nice breakfast and just a small road to cross to be on the beach, far away from the big hotels. The ecological theme is very present and everywhere (sometimes a bit too much?) but it is nice to see the efforts made.

We traveled in a group of three friends. We had a really great time. The hotel is located next to the sea and a busstation. Because we travelled by train, we were given free bicycles for half a day. It is also possible to rent Stand-Up-Paddle-Boards and a Canoe. The persons there were really nice. Breakfast was great. Altough it is next to a street, we had no problems finding good sleep.

The staff of the hotel are very friendly, kind and helpful, creating a familiar atmosphere. The hotel is very clean. Very good quality products for breakfast and dinner, locally sourced. The hotel is innovative in terms of ecological and sustainable design and infrastructure. This is a good hotel for a short stay, if you have a car or can bike to go around visit and you come to the hotel only for sleeping and breakfast. The hotel is located by the side of a very busy district road and the traffic is non stop with constant noise, making it hard to use the balcony. The airport is very, very close by, the planes and military helicopters fly over at low altitude which also creates noise during the day.

This charming boutique hotel sets new travel standards, an inspiration for those of us who are tired of green washing from hotels who consider that merely limiting towel usage makes then eco-friendly .At Hotel Almanarre Plage every single detail has been thought out - from the free water dispenser to the clearly labelled trash bins. Attractively presented explanations and signage both in the bedroom and around the hotel also bring a really fun sense of adventure to a beach holiday. The room I stayed in was perfect - pristine clean and attractively decorated with lovely driftwood details. Breakfast was great and the staff most friendly and helpful. This is definately the modern way to travel !
