We had a fabulous safari and stay in Tent 4, with the bonus of a one night sleepover in The Doves Nest treehouse on our own in the bush for one night. The whole place is unforgettable, the food was just first class, staff so attentive, just 10/10! Our morning breakfast was served on route at a waterhole or great view point for wildlife. Evening meals were exceptional with drinks afterwards around the camp fire to chat about our sightings during the day. To see the lions and animals up close was just breathtaking! I’m hooked now.

Had the most unforgettable experience at The Hide, as always. It was my 3rd visit after over 20 years and I don't intend to leave it so long before the next return. It was my husband's first time there and he agrees wholeheartedly. A huge thanks to Inno :) You really did make our stay! Thank you for helping us to tick so many birds off the list and of course, we'll never forget our incredible elephant experience with you, The Elephant Whisperer! All the lions we saw were just an added bonus. Des, Angie, Darryl, Daniel, Nikkita, David and the rest of the team, thank you for making us feel so welcome. Boy does your ship run smoothly! The tents are great - extremely spacious and comfortable, and the hot water bottles in the beds and on the game drives were very much appreciated. Tip for those thinking of visiting in July: pack gloves, hats and a warm coat - you won't regret having them on the morning drives. The food is delicious and a-plenty! Nothing beats a bush breakfast in the middle of an Acacia forest while watching Racket-Tailed Rollers. To all those first-time Hide goers, you HAVE TO spend a night in The Dove's Nest!

This was the last stay of our 2+week tour and it was outstanding. The travel agent warned us it would be miserable weather at this time of year but it was sunny, yet very chilly. Travel tip: Bring slippers or warm socks for walking around the room, it gets cold at night. Our tour guide Innocent and Daryl and Ang staff were 5 star all the way. You almost don't need to go tour, just sit on the porch and watch wildlife and in the evening MotoMoto meets the Lion was our evening serenade!

When 6 friends who had never no been to Africa asked me to plan a “dream trip” I knew the first safari stop should be at a place with genuine safari vibes. The Hide’s location in Zimbabwe was perfect for introducing them to safari in a place filled with animals but not filled with jeeps everywhere. As a group of 8, Tom’s Little Hide was perfect. We could all hang out together in very comfortable areas, yet have our own privacy. Innocent took us on fun and fabulous game drives and walks several times a day. A night in the treehouse was a unique experience. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They made us feel like old friends. The animal sightings were spectacular. We’re back home, but the group is still reliving all the fun times at The Hide. It’s definitely going on the “return” list for future trips.

From the moment we arrived and met our guide Peter, to the sad moment we had to leave, every part of our stay at The Hide exceeded expectations. The room was absolutely beautiful – spotless, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful personal touches that made us feel genuinely special. It’s clear that every detail has been carefully considered to provide a luxurious yet welcoming experience. Our camp hosts, Darryl, Ang, Des and the team went above and beyond. The attention to detail, quality of food and drink, and warm hospitality brought the whole experience to life. Every meal was a delight, and the service made us feel like VIPs. Our night out in the treetops took this experience to the next level, every detail well though t out and considered. And then there was Peter – what an outstanding guide! He was fun, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable, and made each game drive unforgettable. He set the bar so high, we found ourselves comparing every guide on the rest of our trip to him (spoiler: no one else came close). This was a luxury safari experience with heart, soul, and flawless service, totally exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend.

This was a bucket list vacation. We were treated like royalty and the attention to detail was not wasted. Imagine sitting at lunch and 40+ elephants come to the waterhole that is in your close view? Our guide, Givemore, was so fun and nice. He treated us like we’ve been friends forever. We spent hours on the jeep tracking cheetah and lions. We found them every time. Elephants, baboons, zebra and giraffes were plentiful. The food, the service and the location are phenomenal. We really didn’t want to leave. It felt like we were leaving family behind.

Initially we weren't certain if we should stay two or three nights, and I'm glad that we chose three nights. From the moment we arrived Angie and Darryl made us feel welcome and part of the community. We loved the all-inclusive aspect, including beverages and laundry, and the safari drives available for early morning, afternoon and after dark. Each drive gave a different perspective on the park, and eating breakfast or having a sundowner by the water holes while watching the animals was very special. The tented accommodations were comfortable, and the hot water bottles were a nice touch in the evening. Success prepared delicious meals, and the portions were generous. The camp staff was friendly and focused on making our stay as perfect as possible. The drivers and guides were amazingly knowledgeable and eager to share their enthusiasm with us. How did Peter see those pawprints will traveling along the bumpy roads?! We hoped to see cats and he kept searching for the elusive L, never finding a leopard, but exceeding our expectations by finding lions on the hunt our last evening. Go to The Hide and stay as long as you can!

Our time at The Hide was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. Our guide, Toppers, was incredible, so knowledgeable and passionate. He didn’t just show us animals; he explained everything in such an engaging way, from bird calls to animal tracks, and made each game drive feel like a real adventure. Angie, Darryl, David and Nikita were such lovely hosts. They always greeted us with a smile when we came back from drives and were so warm and friendly around the fire in the evenings it felt more like staying with family than at a lodge. The food was delicious every single day, and we really enjoyed the family-style dining. It gave us the chance to meet people from all over the world and share stories, which made the experience even better. One of the biggest highlights was the waterhole right in front of the main lodge, with the resident hippo and so many animals visiting throughout the day. Sitting quietly in the hide and watching them drink and interact up close was just magical. The accommodation was beautiful! our tent felt so luxurious and comfortable, and waking up to the sounds of the bush was amazing. Just a heads-up, it gets pretty chilly on the early morning and evening drives in May, so definitely pack warm clothes! We honestly didn’t want to leave. The whole experience was incredible. If you're thinking of visiting Zimbabwe, The Hide is a place that truly stays with you and we hope to be back in the future.
