Hostel Villa Skansi

The hostel experience has been beyond dreadful. The AC was broken when we arrived which they then proceeded to blame us for breaking. We complained numerous times to reception to fix it as the heat was unbearable (it was hotter in the room than it was outside). We tried to stay outside as the room was like a sauna and they proceeded to tell us we couldn’t. This is unacceptable as it should be their problem that the AC was broken. This lasted for two nights and we’re very disappointed about how we have been treated by the staff.

Great hostel and great experience. They offer free pizza every night which is such a nice touch and the pizza is actually really good. My friend is vegan and we asked if they could make a vegan pizza for her and they did it which was so nice. Everything was very clean and we saw people always cleaning. The free pub crawl is amazing to get to know people. It's very social. We had an amazing experience and would definitely come back. Sad that we only stayed for one night.

Awful experience. Was terrible from the beginning when they charged us more than what *********** has detailed us (they excused themself saying exchange rates differences and charged us €30 more). The room was not even a room, it was a kitchen and they left it like that and charge as a dorm room. No power outlets for a room for six people and no locks for lockers. It has what used to be a chimney but closed it with plastics and old cabinets and even a oven in the middle of the room. It doesn’t have laundry service as it promoted. The worst part of all it was how they treated us, the receptionist told us they where ashamed for giving us that room but the owner came and treated us really badly, she is a greedy woman with resentment who “offered a discount” in exchange to cancel our reservation through *********** and not leaving a bad review. We didn’t accept and everything got worst, we where yelled at and didn’t even changed us from the room or gave us any discount, we where paying €68 per night per person. I truly wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody, you can get a nice room or you can get a basement old kitchen with no shower and outlets room, guess what rooms are the pictures from.

The hostel was amazing, the vibe there is incredible, a great view and nice bar, the beds are really comfy and also you have the privacy curtain too. I went solo traveling and i met amazing people there, they give you free pizza everynight! The staff was amazing and really friendly, especially a chilean girl named Stephanie (I called her Negra because she was so kind), she was incredible and felt like home! Totally recommend this hostel for everyone.
