Overall, the hotel was very nice, modern in design and clean. The room we stayed in was clean and cozy. The location wasn’t too bad, relatively close to Moon Bay / Taihu Ancient Town (just a short drive, less than ten minutes by car) and around 30 minutes drive from Huzhou Railway Station, but we didn’t see much else around.
Service was quite standard, despite there being next to no one else in the hotel, and breakfast situation wasn’t ideal. When we arrived in the restaurant for breakfast, there was nothing laid out, the room was empty and we had to go back down to the lobby to inform them no one was there before we were then attended to. There was no option to choose what we would like to eat and while I normally enjoy eating a local breakfast, the food was quite bland in flavour.
We were told that the hotel had a hot spring, but there were actually only two small pools in what looked like a swimming pool bathroom and the charge was almost 200 RMB (available between 12-4pm)…so I would suggest going to an actual hot spring venue for the same price.

The service is very good, the environment is very good, the setting is warm, there are books to read, and the heating is sufficient. It feels like home, a very comfortable experience, and it is worth recommending.

However, it takes a lot of paper to dry it after the water comes out, so I asked the service staff for two more rolls. The electric curtains are either fully open or fully closed. It would be better if they could be paused. I gave away 6 bottles of drinking water in one day, while others only had four bottles, which was great. Is the bathroom at this price of more than 500 a night really so basic? The surrounding area is also quite remote.
