I was surprised at the things that needed repair, both in my room and also in the hallway, etc. The elevator button panel was taped to the wall with packing tape (would you like a photo? I took one). My black out blinds would not raise; when I mentioned to first the housekeeper and then the woman at the front desk, I was told someone from maintenance would come check it, and that they had problems with them in a few of the rooms. No one showed up, and when I spotted a fellow repairing a baseboard (very nice gentleman), he explained that they had been installed in March, they never properly worked, and the company had never come to rewire them.
My room had countless ladybug beetles crawling all over the walls and ceiling. When I mentioned this to a housekeeper, she said yes, it was a problem that they couldn’t resolve.
After sleeping on the feather pillows for the first night, after sneezing all night, I wAs very congested for the entire day yesterday, and I went through almost a box of tissues. Since I was in Huntsville for a funeral, this was not good. When I asked the housekeeper if the pillows could be switched out for allergy-free pillows, I was told that they had no other pillows.
The air conditioning/heating wall unit was lined with aluminum foil that was sticking way out on one side (i also have a photo of this).
The ice maker ice had dark flecks of something on ice cubes, two different times I got ice.
The Keurig coffee maker would not make coffee for me.
There were many crumbs in the desk upholstered chair.
The caulking around the tub had dark mold-like spots on it. And the bathroom sink counter had smudges that were there before i used the sink. Housekeeping apparently only comes to refresh a room every other day.
I will not plan on staying at this hotel when I return for a wedding in November. The lack of concern was a surprise.
I have tried three times to load a couple of photos, but this site won’t take them.
