Very nice rooms, location, and friendly staff!
Newly renovated and very surprisingly nice rooms. Convenient location and there’s a sports bar/restaurant directly across the street for late night food if you’ve had a long day/trip. The best thing here is the friendly service, Mrs Betty upfront always has a smile.

I was visiting family for a graduation and all of the chain hotels were either sold out or double the price so I decided to give the Whitman a try. I’m so glad I did. Clean, friendly and convenient. I will be back!

This is a hidden gem. For years, I lived nearby and recently moved away. I returned for business and was surprised how nice this motel is. Very clean and quiet. As a lone female traveling, I felt very safe and the staff were extremely nice. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area. I will be staying here again.

Completely remodelled interior! Brigt, clean, and comfortable! Fair price, as well. Could use a complimentary breakfast, though.
Will definitely stay there when we visit Long Island again!

The property was 20 minutes from cold spring harbor and Oyster Bay/Sagamore Hill. The motel is an older style motor inn on the Jericho Turnpike which is a busy major roadway. You would probably need to rent an air BB for a pleasant location as opposed to this busy route.
The motel room was very clean with a microwave and refrigerator. The king bed was comfortable. The toilet and shower worked well. We would return as it was convenient. The price was good for 3 nights.

Wow, what a surprise!!
After checking reviews on stays in the Huntington Station, NY area; I decided to reserve with Whitmore Motor Lodge. The outside appearance was pretty much what I expected for a motor lodge, however we had a really good stay. From Ms. Betty (at the front desk), to our room; we were more than satisfied. We were there for one night, & were relieved to have such a clean, nice looking room. We had no complaints... Absolutely none!
If I had to be picky, I'd point out that there are no irons (ironing boards) available in the rooms. However one call to front desk resolved this issue. Not only will I return to Whitman Lodge... I highly recommend when in the area.

Clean, comfortable and quiet
"Don't judge a book by its cover!" Check-in was fast and the lady was very polite and helpful. From outside appearance this is your classic "built a long time ago" single-story motel. Nothing spectacular on the outside though certainly in good shape. The inside of my room (#401) was obviously NOT as old as the motel itself. It appeared to have been renovated somewhat recently (or at least kept up to look almost new). Large flat screen TV, microwave and small frig. Bed was comfortable as far as "not my own bed" goes! The room and bathroom were very clean. The bathroom had a modern look to it and everything worked properly. Nice hot, strong shower. The parking lot was full yet I never heard noises from any other rooms. You won't get a free breakfast here like many of the chain hotels but there are plenty of restaurants within a short drive. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
