My birthday was on July 31 and my husband and I wanted a night away from everything so we decided to book a room. After doing some research and finding nothing but great reviews we decided on the holiday inn express. Check-in was quick and easy with a friendly front desk person who informed us when breakfast was and how late the pool was open. I really liked the hand sanitizer stations outside every elevator. Once we got to our room I really must say It was the nicest hotel room we have ever stayed in. Being a must have coffee type person I really liked the mini keurig with kcups including tea. The bed was very comfortable being a memory foam mattress. I have a bad back and most hotel room beds are torture on my back but this one slept incredible and I wasn't hurting when I woke up. The pillows were soft and when another was requested it was happily obliged. The room had a chaise lounges that was big enough that it could have doubled as another bed. The large desk was perfect for working at and the large flat screen TV was adjustable depending on where you were sitting so you could better see it. There was a large closet with hangers and a two drawer chest for storing your clothes. There was a microwave and fridge. The bathroom was large with a light around the mirror and lots of space for toiletries. The walk in shower was large and had bottles of shampoo conditioner and shower gel that were attached to the wall. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because there was no shower gel and the shower had a low flow head which I hate. Gotta have my water pressure. It took the water a long time to get hot also. Having worked in housekeeping myself in the past I'm particularl about running my hand over the paintings on the wall and the headboard to check for dust. There was a tiny bit nothing to write home about. Overall this was the nicest cleanest room I've ever stayed in and plan on doing again in Sept as I have a girls night planned with my daughter. Breakfast was good. You went up to the breakfast area which was blocked off but there was a worker there to get you anything you wanted. The ojand cinnamon rolls were delicious. My husband had the cheese omelet and said it was good. The front desk gives you coffee which was hot and fresh. Overall I would definitely recommend the holiday inn express its a home run hotel!!
