Friendly Staff Can’t Fix Broken Promises & Run-Down Rooms in One of the few highlights of booking this place was the promised airport transfer, and we were warmly greeted by Joel and Ray (apologies if I mispronounced their names)—both incredibly kind and professional. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. From the moment we entered our room, it was clear this hotel is in dire need of maintenance. The air conditioning dripped non-stop, creating an unbearable environment—especially for my light-sleeping friend, who endured sleepless nights despite multiple complaints to management. Shockingly, no one bothered to fix it, or even attempt a repair. It’s inexcusable for a hotel to ignore such a basic guest need. The photos online are wildly misleading. The property is run-down, worn-out, and nowhere near the advertised standard. While the staff were mostly friendly and check-in was smooth, their efforts can’t compensate for the hotel’s neglect. Would I recommend this place? Only if every other hotel on the island is fully booked , you’re desperate for a bed, and you don’t mind water dripping on you all night. Otherwise, save your money—this place is a disappointment masquerading as a vacation stay.

Hello, everything was good, we had a lovely stay, the service was good and excellent and the proximity to the sea was quite an important point, only the breakfast was poor and could have been better, thank you for thinking about the travelers.

As I arrived in Male in the evening and boat transfer to the island was in the morning, I needed a place to stsy for the night. Hotel Lonuveli was very prompt in replying to email regarding transfer from and to Male airport. A representative was waiting at arrivals with hotel sign. In the morning at the appointed time the car was there to transport back to the airport for boat transfer. Breakfast was simple and tasty, easy start to first morning in the Maldives. Overall a good start to holiday in the Maldives, no worries about transportation.
