We spent two nights at Sheraton Huizhou Beach. We had a good time, and enjoyed a splendid summer weather. There are 5 pools at the hotel, plus some outdoor thermal baths. We enjoyed swimming in all of them. The big beach is NOT clean, and although it seems that this is not responsibility of the hotel, I think that they should invest in cleaning it at least once every few weeks, as the accumulated garbage (toys, plastics, nets, shoes, etc.) makes the experience of walking on it a bit disappointing and not so enjoyable. Besides that, even if the hotel itself is a bit worn out, it is still acceptable, quiet at night and clean. All the staff was very helpful, serviceable, very efficient and gave us excellent attention, specially Cassie at the front desk. The breakfast buffet is good, very complete. Overall, I loved the experience, and since the price is reasonable, I will surely come back to spend a few more days of relaxing rest here, I recommend it remarkably during Low-Season. Congratulations to all the Sheraton staff!

The first Golden Diamond review is dedicated to this hotel where you can travel during the short holiday. Let’s talk about the disadvantages first. To be honest, this is really the most depressed Marriott hotel I have ever stayed in. Being old and dated is not a problem, the problem lies in the operation. The weather was gloomy and the lights in the lobby were only on sparsely, which made the feeling very gloomy. If they turned on more lights, added some aromatherapy and music, it would be much better. The facilities in the outdoor public areas also have similar problems, making them seem quite unpopular. The biggest pitfall is the parent-child bicycle. I strongly do not recommend renting it. Expensive is secondary, but the main reason is that there is no place to ride. There is no cycling path on the road by the lake, there are too many vehicles passing by, and there are all kinds of uphills, so the experience is not good. Fortunately, I got a refund for one hour, otherwise it would really be... The room was neither good nor bad, and was OK based on low expectations. There are advantages, too. It is cheap, after all. The Chinese food at Caiyuexuan is pretty good and has a high cost-performance ratio. Breakfast is free for children under 1.2 meters, which is an advantage, although there are fewer dishes.
