Don't hesitate to book this hotel, it was magical. ski in and out, great locker room, amazing spa and general atmosphere. The staff are lovely and friendly and will do anything to make sure you have a great stay. My only slight niggle was the price of the drinks in the bar and the lack of vegetarian options for dinner on the half board package.

We had an excellent skiing holiday in Alp D'huez and the hotel and facilities were very good, highly recommended. Good food, great staff and excellent facilities.

We booked the Cesar room at Hotel du Chamoix d'Or last minute, and we’re so glad we did! We’ll definitely be returning. While our experience may have been a bit more relaxed since we visited just before the national French holiday (so it wasn't too crowded), the hotel itself is truly impressive. The room was fabulous, the welcome warm, and the staff was always smiling and eager to assist. The slopes (Pic Blanc) are right outside the hotel, which is so convenient. The lounge and spa were an amazing added bonus, making the experience even more special. Dinner was delicious – everything was just fantastic. It was such a lovely discovery, and we enjoyed every moment of it!

This hotel truly had it all (except AC, but even in mid-summer, high in the alps, you'll be fine without it). The location is lovely as the property is nestled at the end of town at the base of the mountains. There is convenient parking right in the front, and you can walk out of the lobby and you'll be looking at the ski lifts. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, clean, and rustic yet modern. When you wake up in the morning you'll find a fantastic breakfast waiting for you in the restaurant. There is seating inside and out, and the vast spread offers something for everyone. I would recommend the Au Chamois D'or to anyone visiting L'Alpe d'Huez.

In a last minute extension to our summer cycling holiday to watch the final stage of the Tour de Femme, we booked that last room available in Alpe d'Huez for two nights, the room happened to be a lovely Cesar suite which was a hardship we had to bear with a smile! A very cosy hotel with helpful staff, great food (book a table for dinner as they get full), amazing location for the tour finish (and I guess skiing), and fun little indoor pool. Not much more to add really other than it is highly recommended and we would most certainly head back. Everything one would expect from a 5 star hotel.

I came with 2 friends for the alpe d'huez triathlon and the staff did all they could to accomodate to our special needs. Nothing but kudos :)

We visited this hotel 8 years ago. It was a nice hotel with good service and food. We decided to stay again March 2024. But this time we experienced alot changed. Inexperienced and lazy staff, limited food at the restaurant, average service according to a 5 star hotel. Any 3 star hotel can easily provide the same service which this hotel provided.

We were here for tomorrowland and happy we picked this hotel. It was really nice and next to the lifts, we could ski in and ski out. The sauna was perfect after skiing, it was free and you dont need reservations. The staff, service and breakfast were perfect. Theres even private hotel parking so you dont have to worry about finding parking. We will pick it again for next year.
